I'm looking for a song i can relate to with lyrics that have a similar meaning to Rihanna's Sos. If I had to take a guess, I’d say she was just trying to make some quick bucks. So she wrote something catchy, something that would get on the radio, making it mainstream. Then people would turn around and buy this song on iTunes and other music companies, increasing profit.I mean, just look at the chorus.
A lot of people say Rihanna can't sing live. Is it true?
I never considered this before, but now I’m really curious! I’ll find a couple videos with Rihanna singing her songs live.In this song, Rihanna sings “Umbrella”, which I’m pretty sure is her biggest hit. I love this song, and I actually think she does an excellent job delivering it! She hits her notes pretty well, and it ends up sounding great! There are a few minor microphone issues though.Here she is with “Love on the Brain”, which is a song many hate but I quite enjoy. And it sounds a lot like the real song! There are a couple small flaws, but they really don’t diminish too much from the fine performance!This one is “We Found Love”, where she collaborated with Calvin Harris. I must say, she sounds fantastic in this performance! Her notes are basically all spot on, except for maybe a couple of the high notes.Here she sings “Love the Way You Lie”. This version is a remix, as the original was written by Eminem. I don’t like her voice nearly as much here, and the performance doesn’t feel as elegant as the others.VERDICT: I definitely think Rihanna doesn’t suck live. She sounds a lot better live than many singers nowadays, and I think her talent really shows during performances! Maybe I’m biased because I’m a Rihanna fan, but I think she sounds great.
