Can You Help With My Namiss Personal Intro

How do you write a pageant personal introduction?

Hello! I am Madeline Morgan and I have competed in Namiss for three years now, actually this year I was 2nd runner up to the Jr. Teen Wisconsin Title. I am going to tell you what mine was but please, do not use it because people running the show might remember mine. Just use it as an outline for yours.

Good morning ladies and Gentlemen!
I am a 13 year-old girl who love to dream big.
My hobbies include dancing, playing the piano, and spending time with my friends and family.
I take pride in being the vice-president of my schools student council and I have volunteered throughout my community with projects such as...The Ronald McDonald House, The Salvation Army, and even the American Cancer Society.
When I'm not doing those you'll usually find me acting in a local theatre production because my amibition is to win the academy award for best actress following in the footsteps of my idol Audrey Hepburn.
So look out for me the next time your watching the Oscars, because from the city of Oregon, Wisconsin I am Madeline Morgan!

Make sure that you are energetic and upbeat throughout the introduction and always look at the judges and SMILE. E-mail me if you have anymore q's about NAMISS!

National American Miss Personal Introduction?

I'm going to be in the Jr. Teen age division for the 2013 pageant and I'm kind of stuck on the personal introduction. They put a new rule where the time limit is 30 secs and you need to include your name, hometown and where you see yourself in the future. Here is what I have so far:

I am a 14 year old girl with a passion for medicine and health. My dream is to one day perform life saving operations as a surgeon. While I’m not hitting the books as a High Honor Roll student, I enjoy swimming and playing the piano. Coming to you from the wonderful town of _______, my name is Yvonne N

Is it good? Unique? Does it have a WOW factor? I kind of feel like its a little plain but I don't want to make it sound overly cheesy. Any tips or advice?

National american miss pageant?

Someone may have recommended you, or they may have gotten your address from a list of young ladies at a dance studio, singing coach, etc.

The National American Miss system is fantastic. They will teach you any sort of turns or routine you need to know before hand. All you need to bring to the stage is a beautiful smile, clear voice, and CONFIDENCE! That's what they're looking for most in a young lady.

Is it worth it to join National American Miss?

Im 15 years old and got a letter from them. I've read a lot of information about them and have seen the kind of outfits they use. This really caught my attention and it looks just really amazing. I know that you have to pay a 440$ fee and was wondering if it was really worth my money and time for this. I always try to keep my grades on A+ and sometimes don't even have time for myself. My father hasn't had a job for months and has barely been able to keep a steady job for a month. I would really LOOOVE to be in this program but the only thing stopping me is the money. How much money would you spend in total when you participate in this program? And if it's a lot is there a list of sponsors that would help pay it? One other thing: I'm not sure if they discriminate against certain groups, but fyi i'm Mexican. I am proud to say that i was born over there, but i am also proud to say that i am a citizen of the USA and was raised in Texas.
Thank you for taking your time in reading and possibly answering my question.

I got a letter from national american miss?

I think you should! I went to mine, and I LOVED it!
They probably got your address by someone recommending you! Or, if you were once a model or something, it could be possible that way, also!
You can wear whatever you want, just make sure you bring shoes (heels) like you would wear in the pageant.
The National American Miss Pageant is a pageant based on Inner Beauty, like your personality. There are three competitions, Personal Introduction, Formal Wear, and Interview.
If you would like to know more about it, go to http://www.namiss.com, everything is explained there! or go to http://www.namiss.com/faq/Default.aspx, for the Frequently Asked Questions!

It Costs $440.00, BUT! You don't pay it, The $440.00, is what they call Sponsor Fee's.
You go around asking for sponsors. You should have received a "Magazine 1" in the mail, if you didn't, then you should contact them, and ask for one. It will explain everything!

Hoped this helped, and good luck! :)
-Brit<3.

----P.S., I was reading some of the other comments, and no, there are NOT! ANY swimsuit competitions!
There ARE optional contests, like talent, but those cost more, and you DON'T have to do those!
If you go to www.namiss.com, you'll learn everything you need to know! and don't listen to these people that haven't been in one, themselves. No offense to anyone, but a lot of these people answering these, haven't been in them, themselves, and they know nothing about it! and no, you don't have to get all glammed up. They don't want you to! If you're 12 or you can't wear makeup at all!
This is NOT a beauty pageant! So, PLEASE don't listen to them, and get all confused!----

Beauty Pageants for the overweight? The National American Miss?

First off, Congratulations on the weight loss. National American Miss is an amazing pageant. There are girls of all sizes who compete in NAM so you deff won't be embarissing yourself.

Let me just say that NAM is one of the best and well-respected teen pageants out there today. You will make so many life-long friends and truly grow from the experience. NAM has inspired me as well as many other young ladies across this country to celebrate their individuality and break the glass ceiling on the beliefs that many ignorant folks in our society hold about both pageantry and pageant girls. If you are interested for only material reasons, then awesome scholarship opportunities are available with honest to goodness scouts in the fields of talent, acting, academics and such. There are also great prizes like cars and cool gift packages and beautiful trophies/plaques/medals plus it looks pretty good on your resume. Keep in mind though, that you are competing with some of the most talented and highly intelligent girls in your state (including you) so don't take this pageant lightly. Most girls are surprised at their competition but don't worry, previous contestants are always willing to help and aren't stuck-up so don't be afraid to approach them. The National American Miss pageant system soon becomes a family.

anyways...i hope that helped :))
seize the day and dare to be you!
Good luck!!
