What is a cavity search?
My friend she is a gurl at the age so 22. She was flying over seas to go to a country to see family. Well when she walked through the scanner at the airport it beeped and went off. So she was wanded and it was triggered in two different spots and when they went to pat her Down they found nothing so she said they did a full cavity search. And idk what that is. Can u please tell me what it is and what they do. What's the full procedure. Thanks

Just seen a video on worldstar where two females where fingered in the anus and vagina because their car smelled like weed. Can you refuse a cavity search? If you refuse will they just stick their fingers in there anyway? I know for searches you need a search warrant, or just simply probable cause without a search warrant, but can they really stick their fingers in your butt? Is that legal?

In the US you do unless you are are on parole or out on bail awaiting trial and a judge has ruled that your conditions for parole or bail are that you must submit to a search of your person/home/vehicle. However, if you refuse a search, the officer is likely to assume you have something in your vehicle that you don’t want them to know about. They will get a warrant by phone most states while you wait…and wait. They can call for backup and if drugs are suspected they can call a K-9…while you are waiting; perhaps in handcuffs.If you have a little dope and you don’t have a record, aren’t out on parole or on bail, you’d be better off admitting what you have and/or permitting LE to search your vehicle. If you have something, you might get nothing but a summons to go to court and pay a fine. You might avoid having your car towed/impounded and spending the night in jail. Depends on what kind/how much funny stuff you have.If you are somebody who isn’t supposed to have a gun, you had REALLY better own up. The consequences will be worse if you say you aren’t carrying and LE finds a firearm.
How do I refuse to a strip search by a cop while being pulled over?
A strip search while being pulled over!? Definitely not in the U.S. This must be an international question. Welcome! To do a strip search over here during a pull over! Would require the Arresting Officer to have to rip the clothes off of my body. First they are going to have to arrest me. Then do on on-scene pat down then take me in. At that point they can have me change into some of their jail clothes while they “feel up” my t shirt and jeans. If they want to strip search me, there had better be a video recording and a Commanding Officer present! Cavity search is gonna be like pulling teeth. We are talking Civil Rights and a Lawyet! That Lawyer had better bring some Media personnel. Cause I’m gonna raise hell before that happens.They can strip me and put me on a suicide watch but in this day and time they have suicide restraints or “time out” chairs to strap You down. They just better have a very solid case and some very extenuating circumstances for a side of the road strip search!! And they had better have a fat wallet or I’m going to own that town for something outrageous as that! I mean they had better see a fuse coming out of me and then they are still out of bounds for that! As far as what do I tell the cop? Hope this wasn’t the only job You have because You won’t be on this one much longer.

Do the U.S police have the right to cavity search anyone?
If you are talking about someone in custody, mere suspicion of contraband is generally all that is required. It is considered a safety issue for the jail/prison and jailers/guards are given broad leeway. This practice has been the subject of many lawsuits. Particularly because it has been used to further punish inmates for bucking the system or reporting on bad behavior by jailers/guards. If that is even remotely suspected by someone in custody, they should speak to their attorney as soon as possible for determining the right and safe course of action.If you are talking about someone under suspicion of criminal activity then probable cause is required. This is a much higher level of evidence and generally will require a warrant. Rules differ though, depending on the law enforcement agency involved. Federal officers protecting national security can act without a warrant under exigent circumstances. However their actions can come under judicial review if the suspect takes action. But at the time of the search, there is little one can do to stop it other than refusing to comply which may result in more extensive action being taken by officers. But refusal will almost always force other officers to be involved which may prevent sexual assault by a rogue officer.
What happens during body cavity search?
In a lot of states, only a medical professional can do an actual cavity search, which means they physically go into the body cavity, anus or vagina. They will put on rubber gloves and use Vaseline or K. Y. jelly, lube their fingers up and go in search for any contraband. Now if you're talking about a strip search, that is different. I'm a former correctional officer in a men's prison and when we did a body/strip search we start off by having of the inmates totally stripped naked, open their mouth, lifting their tongues up, moving them around, pulling up their cheeks and lips to show their gums. They would then hold the arms up and out and sometimes officers, wearing gloves would run their hands on the arms and under arm area as well as possibly run their hands through in inmates hair on the head. If an inmate was overweight and had flabs of fat, we would ask them to lift up their fat to see the things hidden underneath it. They would then be required to lift up their penis and testicles and men will be required to turn around and bend over and at that point, they would spread their legs, spread their butt cheeks apart and would be told to forcefully cough two or three times fairly hard. This usually loosens up with anything that may be in their anal cavity and cause it possibly to dislodge. They would then have to show the soles of their feet and spread their toes apart. But, there is nothing more gross to see a severely overweight guy with a lot of flab on him have to lift up his fat rolls and show there's nothing hidden underneath it. Also nothing more gross than having an inmate spread his butt cheeks and see the crack all filled with toilet paper! Hope that answered your question!
