This is still the case but now:With package delivery gaining strength, the USPS now dedicates Saturday and in some areas Sunday to deliver packages.(this insurers that someone will be home) You now have no way of intercepting the package before the parcel carrier heads out with it.You could wait in the post office early in the morning with the post master and when the mail comes in, have him wade through the parcels to intercept the parcel before the carrier gets to it. (You have no way of knowing what day the package will get to the post office, unless you track it) You better bring your ID and proof of address. and the parcel be addressed TO YOU as well.Our you could just wait on your couch and have the package delivered to you.
