When you move, do you switch team allegiances?
Hummmm ... did you ask this question to get a head start as a shrink by picking at the brains and reasons for a person's fandom ... lol ... just kidding. Anyways, congrats ... that really is a tough gig to get and given the state of this country as a whole we're going to need all the "brain help" we can get after Bush and his boys are gone and we find out what they have really been doing. Please don't think I'm "dissing" you or anything ... I could never get into that kind of work ... two times in my life I have had to "talk down" good friends who were at the "pull the trigger" moment and it was two of the most horrible moments of my life. As for your question ... not if you were a real true fan of the team. You know, that might make a good topic for you to look into during your studies ... just what makes a person a fan of a certain team ... talk about a impossible mission. I can probably tell you why you don't like the Sabres ... are you an Amerks fan? ... if so there's your answer because the Sabres were always calling up the best players from Rochester when they needed them and never really seemed to care what kind of a mess that made with the Amerks. I watched them during the strike year ... what a team they had that year ... the proof is in Buffalo now but the memories of that year will always be there. The turmoil with the Amerks this year has been painful to watch and really just plain sad to see such a great organization go under. I hope the Panthers try to do something to help the team ... I'm sorry but I don't believe that "Tom" did anywhere near as much as he says he did to make the situation right ... he's a pompus fool along with the rest of the Sabres front office.
Do you think that the Toronto Maple Leafs suck?
Well I think they're in between 'struggling' and 'sucking'. Their age is catching up with them (not to mention their lack of speed. They could be the slowest team in the NHL). Blues = sucking Blackhawks = sucking Penguins = sucking Panthers = sucking Leafs = licking
How do you feel when somebody insults your favorite team?
It's not the insulting that bothers me, its the double standard that does. Too often (in sports or not) there are people who feel it's OK to bash other people and/or their team but they don't like it when the insulting is done on them. I have no problem if other want to insult my Coyotes but be aware that what goes around come around and I will insult the teams of others if they insult mine. If those people cannot handle a taste of their own medicine, then they shouldn't dish out what they cannot take in return.
