Can You Tell Me How North Carolina People Is

Tell me about North Carolina USA TY?

My Family, lives there, the past 22 months. They moved from NYC and knew all that they was giving up to head to Charlotte. Charlotte has so much going for it. The weather is extremely great, fantastic happier people who are easier to approach. It's communities, landscape, skyline, mountains and highways are beautiful. Flowers bloom the entire year and makes a happier place to live. Of course, housing is much more affordable. I've been to many neighborhoods (even the ones people deem unsafe) and never did I feel threatened or out of place. I love the fact that all communities are diverse, creating a holistic living environment. Every morning, I was awaken by chirping birds, I welcome their love song.

If you do not mind VERY hot weather for about 5 months a year you will probably like it. If these things don't appeal to you you can live near the mountains (cooler weather) If I had to choose my favorite thing, it would be the landscape of uptown at night, because it gives me feel of my hometown of NYC.

Which is why I moved back to NYC by myself :)

Until, I Moved back to NYC by myself :)

Do people who live in North Carolina have a southern accent?

your question is relative to where you come from yourself.

To someone living in Alabama, North Carolina folk sound like the rest of them Yankees.

To someone from Illinois, the same North Carolina folk sound like Southerners.

Everyone says that they don't have an accent and everyone else does.

Personally I was raised in Illinois by my parents that lived most of their lives in Alabama. So you can just imagine how messed up my dialects are.

Have a great day.

Dave T (Southern by birth, Vegas by choice).

Is North Carolina or Texas a good place to live for Hispanic people?

Raleigh and Austin are similar, diverse medium sized cities with a lot of colleges in the area, but I personally prefer Raleigh. It's a very nice city and most people are friendly there. There are more Hispanic people in Austin and in most areas of Texas compared to NC so if you would rather live in an area with more Hispanic people, then I would suggest Austin but I think you would enjoy Raleigh as well and there is also a large Hispanic population in Raleigh, but I honestly don't think it should be an issue. I’ve never encountered any racism or issues of intolerance in Raleigh, most people in the triangle area seem accepting of all types of people as there is a lot of diversity as a result of all the local colleges (NC state, UNC and Duke) and recent immigrants. Compared to other southern cities, Raleigh is very liberal. I’m sure there are some racist people in Raleigh, but unfortunately there are racist people in every city, in every country and again, I’ve never seen or heard of any major issues of intolerance in the Raleigh area.

Raleigh is a suburban city with a lot of nice neighborhoods, a nice downtown, and if you like shopping, there’s a lot of nice malls. It's a great place for families. Almost all neighborhoods are safe, crime is relatively low in Raleigh for a city of it’s size. If you do decide to move there, avoid the neighborhoods immediately to the south of downtown, it’s not an extremely dangerous area, but there’s better areas to live in Raleigh. North Raleigh, Cary and the new condos downtown are the best areas to live. The coast is about 2 hours from Raleigh and the mountains are 2 hours west. Washington DC is only a few hours to the north. Forbes Magazine has ranked Raleigh as the best city in America for business and careers for the second year in a row. There are lot’s of jobs available in the Research Triangle Park, which is considered the Silicon Valley of the east. Homes are affordable and the cost of living is good considering the population of the triangle area.

Austin has better nightlife than Raleigh and a good music scene and some nice areas to live, but I still prefer Raleigh because of it’s proximity to the ocean, mountains, etc and the friendly people.

Hopefully this helps. Good luck with your decision.
