Can You Tuck In Fishing Shirts

Any tips for fly fishing?

I have trouble getting the fly and leader away from the fly line because the fly line hits the water it is in a straight line but the leader and fly just bundles up right at the tip i was thinking it was my casting method or the fly line I hope that explains it better.

What do you call this fishing shirt?

They're called guide shirts. I think that's what you're wanting to know. Yes, it's called the Columbia Bonehead, but the style of shirt is commonly called a guide shirt or a fishing shirt. This type of shirt has many features that make it good for fishing, especially fly fishing. First, it's got lots of pockets for fly boxes and other stuff you need while fishing. They're often equipped with lots of little loops and rings to connect stuff, like if you want to connect your line nippers to your shirt. If you look at the little tab just above the left breast pocket -- that's a little velcro rod holder. With it, you can set the butt of your rod on the ground and strap the reel to yourself while you tie on a fly or whatever -- you don't have to tuck it under your arm or lay it on the ground. Second, it's longsleeved for protection from sun and cold but readily converts to short sleeves with little button-up straps to hold the rolled sleeves up so that they don't droop. Finally, guide shirts usually have a big gusset or cape in the back for air circulation and are often made with a quick-dry fabric blend -- the one you're looking at is 100% cotton, which won't dry fast. If you're going to use this shirt for fishing, I'd recommend looking around for a shirt that has poly in it -- if you're fishing, you're going to get wet at some point.

When do you tuck in a polo shirt and when do you wear a polo shirt untucked?

Untucked is more casual. However, tucked in is more casual-elegant. Tuck the polo in when you want to have the appearance of slightly more dressed than when wearing the polo untucked. I picture the look with a dressier but tapered fit of chinos or lighter fabric five pocket pants with a more elegant style of tennis shoe Suede low-top sneakers or driver.Always Best In Style,Tim Beasleyhello@gentrow.com — Gent Row | Menswear Design House

Can you tuck in fishing shirts?

It will be fine, I know a lot of guys who tuck their shirts in while fishing. If it fits better and is more comfortable that way, go for it

How can I keep birds from pooping on my patio and lawn furniture?

There really is no way to keep wild birds from flying where they choose, however, there are a few things you can do that will make your area less inviting to them. Keep bushes and tree's (places where they roost and hide) away from your patio. Decorative items that spin (the same effect as a scare crow blowing in the wind) makes them cautious and shy to go near. They have decorative wind socks, chimes, and those little spinning wheels that do the trick. Make sure there are no bird feeders or bird baths in the area as well. Hope this helps.

Why, on most men's button-down shirts, is the bottom-most button slit horizontal, not vertical like the rest?

Quoting http://www.darrenbarefoot.com/ar...Because horizontal buttonholes take horizontal stress with less deformation of the buttonhole shape and offer much less likelihood of the button pulling out from such stress than do vertical ones. But this results in the button being pulled to the end of the hole rather than staying centered. Since a well fitted shirt shouldn’t naturally have any fitting stress across its width above the waist, the custom is to prefer vertical holes with centered buttons above the tuck-in level; they look better, especially on a vertically striped fabric. Below the belt or at the waist, where there might be more stress, you can revert to the stronger position…and demonstrate that you (the maker) are willing to take the time to shift the shirt to change the placement of the hole, further proof that your expensive shirt is worth the money.

How do you wear a flannel shirt?

Hi! How do I wear a flannel shirt, or ideas on you wearing a flannel shirt? I'm guessing the latter. Well…it would help to know what your style is, but I'm going to tell you what I think looks good. Flannel shirt, of course, over a plain or graphic t-shirt in a complimentary, but contrasting color. Think neutral-white, gray, etc. I would button up a little more than three quarters of the way, say like, leave maybe 3 or 4 buttons undone. Just enough to see color from t-shirt, but leave out bottom and don't tuck it in. For pants, I would go for a straight, slim cut pair of jeans. Maybe even skinny jeans, but not too tight. Make sure the length is right-this is important for guys and gals, I think. For shoes, I would do a really cool pair of either converse or a pair of original vans, classic off the wall style. Socks or no socks, that's up to you, but as for the color-they should be a color that goes with everything, but doesn't stand out like a sore thumb. Oh, and make sure they are clean! I personally like a graphite gray pair of vans, with white soles, and straight laced. Hope this helps! Oh! Almost forgot-roll up sleeves to forearm, almost to the bend of your elbows. Casual, but really cool:)

Are you supposed to tuck your jeans into your boot, or leave them untucked?

For me it depends on what I'm doing at that time.. Although 9 times out of 10 my jeans are over my boots. Unless I'm out in the woods hunting, out off roading with my boys (whether trail riding, or mudding) or fishing from the bank of a lake or pond where I have to walk through some overgrown grass and weeds to reach said spot.A day of just trail riding and mudding.a day that had the same as above, and also some target practice. With any of the moments I mentioned for me, tucking in also helps with when I return home from one of those moments and not tracking all the mud and other debris that would be on the bottom of the jeans through the house on the way to the laundry room (potentially pissing off the fiance).
