Not exactly. You don't make any money just by having someone click on the big green button that says download (and who would pay you?). How you can make money off of your maps is buy redirecting them to http://adf.ly . This website pays you about 20 cents per 2,000-ish people that visit the site off of your link. It does this by having a crapload of ads that you have to look at for 5 seconds before you can actually download the map. Annoying? Yes. But one of the only ways to make money off of your maps.
Why are Minecraft maps so small on PS4?
I know they're around 36 times bigger than they were on PS3, but they're still tiny compared to the map size on PC. I know gaming PCs can be much more powerful than PS4, but the areas still seem undersized for minecraft on PS4. Just look at the game No Man's Sky (which will be released on PS4), its map is said to be so massive that it would take around 5 billion years to fully explore it. That dwarfs Minecraft's map, even on PC. I'm definitely not a tech expert (far from it) but it sounds to me like the PS4 can handle a lot more than what Minecraft offers it in terms of map size. What's the appeal of Minecraft?
It's a bit late to ask this question, but I've seen so much hype over it, and I'm considering playing it. Most of my friends play it, but from what I see, all they do is build things/explore on a terrain. I'm assuming there's no storyline, no leveling, no character customization, no goal or endpoint... you can't collect rare items or power up. What is the objective of this game and why do so many people like it?

Well if you are talking about making mods yes it is possible but hard.If your talking about downloading and playing mods like in Pocket Edition or PC, then no because it hasn't been officially made so that so you have the option to download and play them on your ps4.There are 2 reasons for this.Sony is very strict on mods in their gamesThere are actually two versions of Minecraft, Java and bedrockThe bedrock versions are mcpe, Windows and Xbox. And the Java versions are Ps4,ps3,Xbox 360(I think) and ps vita.Since these are different versions they run on different engines which keep being updated all the time and make it harder for modders to work on mods for bedrock.In summary, Java(ps4,ps3,Xbox 360,ps vita) cannot have mods because the engine needs to be the same as bedrock(which won't happen unless ps4 decides to do Crossplay).The feature has not implemented yet for java

You would have to find an online transfer tool to convert the formats.Otherwise I don’t think it is possible as different platforms have different coding languages, making one world’s data impossible to read if just plugged straight into another platform of Minecraft.*There is the exception of the cross-play version of Minecraft, but I’m pretty sure it is not on the Play Station.

I love playing minecraft survival games but unless there are mushrooms around i need to go hunt for food. In this survival server there are not much animals so i usually starve to death.
