Amazon won't let me checkout using Gift cards?
Im buying something from amazon using an E-gift card, but when i click "continue" it says "please enter your payment information to continue". I already entered the gift card code, but it still wont let me proceed and buy the item already! Do i need a credit card and a gift card to make purchases on amazon.com?
Anxiety paying for things at checkout?
There is a rather high probability that you may feel overly anxious during some other situations, too. Can a motel lock me out of my room if I wasn't there at checkout time and left my things in the room, demanding that I pay for another day first?

If you had called them and let them know that you were going to be later, then the majority would have simply allowed some grace period (a few hours at most) for you to come back and collect your items. After all, they cannot rent the room with your personal items it as they are responsible if they are lost or stolen.If you are gone for any reason besides a medical emergency, then most motels and hotels would ask you to pay for an additional night if they could have rented the room and your not checking out in a timely manner prevented this from occurring. Since they have your credit card on file (assuming that you didn't pay in cash) they would simply bill you for the additional night.I don't see why this such a problem unless the motel was a dive and you are leaving out some details. A quick phone call could have easily resolved the matter. And what exactly was the "emergency" that you didn't remove your personal items the morning that you planned on checking out anyway?
Can Walmart come after you later for shoplifting at the self checkout if you get away?
They absolutely can. They won’t physically go after you. Instead they will make copies of the security camera recordings and file a report with the police. The police will then be the ones to go after you. If the amount stolen isn’t enough to warrant the trouble of filing a police report, they will still retain copies of the security camera recordings. Then everyone who works in Asset Protection will become familiarized with your face and you may very well end up banned from the store. If they have recordings of you shoplifting on multiple occasions, we can end up banned for life, which will add on a trespassing charge should you go into that Walmart. Sometimes they ban people for life from ALL Walmarts. In such an instance, should you be caught shoplifting in any store, they will prosecute for both stealing and trespassing. And as evidence each and every record they have will be provided to the authorities as evidence.
At the supermarket, with scan and bag your own items, how do they prevent shoplifting?
With great difficulty.That’s the problem with self checkout. Not only customers are lousy at being cashier, with one attendant watching 4 stations they can easily distract the attendant by asking for help (I estimate that happens about all the time). Not only that but they can simply switch tags (which a cashier can easily spot but missed at self checkouts). If this is done correctly the shoplifter can get significant discounts on items with little to no risk to the shoplifter. While items like TV and electronics are under more scrunity most losses are actually stuff like soda, water, food, meat, produce, etc. because nobody thinks of them as stuff that people would want to steal. However the store I work at the highest shrink is actually in the grocery section and not electronics. Furthermore items at the bottom of cart is easily missed, and shoplifters take advantage of that. It also does not prevent hiding one item inside another item. Cashiers are instructed to check every container, purse, backpacks, etc. that are purchased because people do put items inside. Intentional or not if that is missed it can mean at least 30 dollars lost per customer. Self checkout stations can’t always detect that since some items weight next to nothing.I personally think self checkout should be eliminated. Customers hate them because they are slow, and customers don’t make good cashiers. The fact that no discount incentives are offered for using self checkout disincentivizes them further. After all, you are making them do the work a cashier would do…Whatever the company saves in labor are lost in shoplifting… Average shrink at my store was over 1 million dollars! Think about how many jobs that could provide…
Wont let me select paypal credit as a choice in ebay checkout?
I am checkin out in ebay and it wont let me choose paypal credit as an option. only my debit and bank account linked to paypal. ive tried signing in and changing my payment preferences on paypal but nothings working..
Buy alcohol self check out?
I am 17 and I just got the great idea of how to get alcohol through a self checkout all you have to do is get a bottle of water and a bottle of alcohol. Then scan the water twice and just put the booze in there instead. Also got another idea, just tear off the label of a water bottle or something and put it on the alcohol then just put in the bag as normal. but of course I would never think of doing any of those things...lol what do you guys think? would it work? ....also as a side note, I was pretty baked when I thought of these lol
