Facebook won't let me log in?
SOLUTION: After trying several things, I started using Mozilla Firefox browser. I've logged in and out several times over the last couple of days to experiment. I still can't log in with Internet Explorer (64 bit) due to this message, but I haven't yet had problems while using Firefox. I've considered that it may be related to Facebook's partnership with McAfee, but I still don't like that they *force* you to go through these steps to "secure your account" when other virus scanners don't detect a problem. If I've found something else that gets rid of this message and lets me log in, I'm not resorting to facebook's "solution" to a problem they created.

I'm trying to decipher what locations are not able to log into Facebook. I'm in Florida and a couple of people from Georgia already said they can't log in. However some people in Canada and Massachusetts are able to. Where are you located?

Well my friend told me her Facebook password a long time ago & we've drifted a lot and so I've been going on and checking her msgs from time to time. Does it alert them? Cuz I live in a different city then her. I've msged her on Facebook and I think she's REALLY mad at me and she won't tell me why. I think she found out or something and I'm really scared bcuz I really wanted to be besties again but idk now. So even if you logged in correctly from a different device does it alert them? Facebook "fixed a misspelling" and I can't login?
My mom's email address and mine are only one letter apart because our initials are almost the same. Normally, this doesn't cause any issues. Today, however, I find myself unable to log into facebook because it thinks I'm trying to get into the wrong account. No matter how many times I click the button telling it I'm not the person it thinks I am, it continuously just switches my email address to hers automatically and then tells me I input the wrong password. But it IS the right password, if it would just friggin TRY signing into the account I'm telling it to. Is there a way to fix this, or am I just screwed?

Yep, you had a virus/spyware attack. What happens most of the time is you'll get a virus/spyware on your computer and it will attach itself to some of your browser files, then when your antivirus/malware program deletes or quarantines it, it erases it and all of the infected files, which then leaves you unable to log on to any secured site. The best method is to backup all your files and completely reinstall your OS as you don't know what all it infected/altered.
