Cant Get Into Twitter Account On My Laptop Help

What should I do if my Twitter account has been hacked?

Twitter has been an easy target for hackers recently as vulnerabilities are easy to exploit. Twitter monitors well though, so accounts are often shut down quickly - until the owner recovers them. Here are the steps to take to retake your Twitter account. If you still have access to your account on your phone, immediately change your password. Then review your account for any unknown apps and revoke their access. Finally, review your account security and consider activating Login Verification (essentially 2-Step Authentication).Without access to your account, head to the password reset page. Fill out the various forms, answer the questions and you should be able to retake the account. After that, go back to step one by revoking access to unknown apps and updating account security. If you are unable to reset your password, you'll need to submit a support request. On this page, you'll see a section called Hacked Account, which will start the process for recovery.

How can you log out of twitter on a laptop?

i just got my sisters laptop and her twitter account is on it. i cant figure out how to log out of it and put my twitter account on it. what do you click on to log out of it? also how do you make a twitter account private?

Is it possible to have more than one Twitter account for a person?

Yes, absolutely.Contrary to some of the answers here, it is not against Twitter’s Rules, and it’s certainly not illegal (anywhere that I know of).In fact, Twitter even has an official help guide on how to manage multiple accounts. As Carlos Paris pointed out in his answer, Tweetdeck is intended for use with multiple accounts, and it is owned by Twitter. This isn’t intended just for social media managers to be able to manage multiple client accounts. You can set up different Twitter accounts for:ProjectsBusinessesInterestsParodyTwitter chats (and you don’t want to flood your stream)There are some other answers that suggest a limit of 5 accounts created per IP address. If this is anywhere in the Twitter documentation, I’ve never seen it. I know from personal experience, back in my “gray hat” days, that you could safely create 10 accounts from an IP address before triggering a spam filter from Twitter. The only people who would have a true number on this would be an active black hat marketer. 5 seems low. I know it used to be higher than that. They do all have to be under different email addresses. Note, though, that Gmail doesn’t pay attention to punctuation in your email addresses, but Twitter does (last time I checked). So to Twitter, “FirstLast@gmail.com” is different from “First.Last@gmail.com” and “F.i.r.s.t.Last@gmail.com”. But to Gmail, they’re all the same. There are, of course, plenty of ways to get multiple email addresses. As far as using them? No, there’s no concern about using multiple accounts from the same IP address. What do you think social media managers do? If you’re talking hundreds or thousands with a bot, that’s different, but normal human usage, there’s no problem with using multiple accounts on Twitter.NOTE: In this regard, Twitter (and Instagram too) is substantially different than Facebook and LinkedIn, which do require only one account per person.

I can't access twitter on my wifi?

I just got back from my vacation and noticed that I can't access any twitter/twitter-related sites on my phone and on my computer.

I've tried using different browsers and devices but I still can't access the website.
On my phone, my timeline wont load and I get an error message ("The request timed out... (null)"), but I do get notifications that I can't load in-app. On my computer the page is usually shown as unavailable but does sometimes work (when it does it takes multiple tries to refresh or to change to another page like my connections/interactions tab).

It only seems to work on 3g, and turning my internet router on and off doesn't seem to help either. Am I doing something obviously wrong or can anyone help me?

I can't log into Twitter?

Okay, my username and password are both correct, but I can't log into Twitter? It doesn't even say that anything's incorrect, it just doesn't do anything when I try to log in (not an Internet problem). Then, when I try to press "Forgot password?", it tells me "You are already logged in. Log out and try again.". Like, I'm not logged in?

I'm logged in on my phone, but I cannot log into the site? Once I got in, but then I got logged out.

Why won't Facebook and Twitter load on my laptop or iPhone today?

I'm having the same problem. Can't access Twitter or Facebook, on my iPad or laptop.

It must be something relating to the WiFi -- when I turned off the WiFi connection on my iPhone, and just used 3G, I was able to use both of the apps.

(I also have Time Warner Cable. Possible it's an outage/issue on their end?)

How do I unlock my Twitter acount without phone verification? Context: I changed phones and forgot to change the number on settings. The verification code is sent to my old phone number, which I no longer have access to.

Hello, I tried it, added a phone number, and then updated it to my Google Voice number (a virtual number) and I got the confirmation to the new number. It did not send it to the old number.
