Cantu Vs Creme Of Nature Products.

Which is better—Cantu Hair Products or Creme of Nature Hair Products?

Omg...as for a relaxer I used to use cream of nature and it works just as good as the dark and lovely I use now. but one of my friends told me cantu had some good stuff so i tried one of their relaxers. Mind you i have been relaxing my own hair since i was 13. I bought the cantu relaxer out of walmart i was all excited... needless to say that when i finished the relaxer my hair was just as curly as when i started. It was like I had only washed my hair... i was shocked. There was no straightness going on anywhere and i only had a couple inches of new growth. long story short Cantu may have a good moisturizer(from what my friend tell's me) But RUN away from there relaxer. Creme of Nature would be my choice. Especially considering the price of Cantu

What are the best products for Natural Hair??

It depends on what look you are going for. I use different products for different styles.
For curly styles I use Pantene Hydrating Curls conditioner, DevaCurl one condition and DevaCurl Set it Free and Kinky Curly Knot today and Curling Custard.

I have several other products listed here...with reviews. Enjoy honey!

Creme of nature and pantene shampoo!?

I'm not sure how well those products work, because you wash them out afterwards anyway. I think a residue of conditioner always stays though, because I use Pantene Pro V for smooth hair so it doesn't dry out and it seems to work better than normal hair shampoos and conditioners.

I use Loreal Studio Hot Straight, it's the only one I've been able to find that's specifically for straighteners (they have one for curlers too) and it is AWESOME. Seriously, your hair is nice and smooth, it doesn't dry out and your hair keeps it's form and doesn't get all out of wack from humidity and stuff.

Cantu vs creme of nature products.?

Depends on what works for you. It doesn't hurt to mix products . You can shampoo with one thing condition with another then use another styling product. What does your hair need ? Both products are great but creme of nature is sulfate free . So it doesn't strip the hair of moisture when you shampoo. Both are great products I use them both actively. To answer your two last questions . Yes and yes

Creme of Nature or Pantene for African American Hair?

I'm trying to grow my hair out again. I had to cut it due to color damage. It's at my shoulders now but I want it to where it used to be down my back. Should I use the new Creme of Nature line with Argan oil or the Pantene for Relaxed and Natural hair. Here are some links to both sights:

What products are good for african american hair that will moisturize w/o leaving it greasy or weighed down?

Well i have Fine Hair, but not thin hair as i have ALOT of it (strandwise) still, heavier products weigh it down and make it look stringy. Its all about trial and error when it comes to finding products that work for you. I have used all three of those brands. I used Cantu leave in cream, it was wayy too heavy and greasy & the scent was strong, too many chemicals, i dont recommend it. Aphogee Keratin Reconstructor is a GREAT deep conditioner i definitely recommend that as a weekly treatment to get your hair back in shape. Their primrose shampoo is lovely too.
Keracare is lovely, i used that for quite sometime, their moisturizing shampoo detangles and leaves your hair feeling like its conditioned. I was in love with the conditioner, the texture of it was amazing, my only qualm was the ones at the beauty supply by my house had chunks in it that stayed in my hair, it probably because it was old or something. It defined my curls really well and i would have loved to use it as a leave in/styling cream but those "chunks" killed me.
So a good regimen for you could be, The Keracare Shampoo & Conditioner, and the Aphogee Reconstructor as a deep treatment. You might also want to invest in a stimulating shampoo like Organic Root or Paul Mitchell Tea Tree so stimulate your scalp and promote growth since your scalp is damaged from the relaxing (which i hope you are planning to stop or all of this really is irrelevant)
Also a GREAT light leave in I suggest is Infusium 23, its like water, so its great for fine hair. You can even use it before pressing your hair, it protects and leaves it shiny & smooth. If it feels like you need something more, invest in a nice natural oil like jojoba or coconut, which are both great for the hair, the real stuff though, from the health food store.

A tip for fine hair, shampoo first, apply conditioner, rinse then shampoo again and rinse well. That way the conditioner wont weigh your hair down.

Does anyone know about some good black hair products?

There is really no special product that can make hair grow in weeks. There are many hair care products on the shelves of local beauty supply stores advertising their special formula. However, the fact is that anyone can make a mixture and name it hair growing formula, then sell it in stores. The government doesn't require haircare products to mean what they say.
For optimum hair growth my salon uses all Avlon products. This is a professional product line and is recommended for maximum growth. Many stylist are uneducated on the full product line and how to use it, however, if used properly and on schedule you'll see flawless results. Another option is to make the choice to completely grow out your hair for a year or two then relax it using avlon's fibergurad system. I have true hair experiences, hands on experience and everyday salon experience that makes Avlon in my opinion the best. A Princess Palace.

Motions, Optima and any other boxed relaxer does more damage then growth, producing dry spit ends, bone straight hair, or not straight at all, over processed, and drying of the scalp.

Hi!I’ve been natural for 4 years now and the biggest issue I had too was finding the right products for my hair type.Honestly, I found most hair products through much trial and error. Some were hits, others were misses (like Coconut oil was all the rage but it dried my scalp and made it super flaky and gross).Give these a try and remember to stick with what works for your hair. Not everything is for everybody, but these have a great track record for a variety of hair types :)[Photos: then&now, hair products/tools]SheaMoisure Curl Enhancing Smoothie:Replenished moisture after washing hairGreat for two twisting and smells goodWorks with ECO styler gel (leaves no residue and mixes well)Creamy and “heavy” to the touch, but leaves hair light and soft (doesn’t weight it down)It enhances your natural patternCarols Daughter Hair Milk 4-in-1 combing conditioner:Good if you need a detanglerHas good slip, softens and lets a denman brush pass throughSmells goodCreme of Nature w/Argan Oil Creamy CoWash:Great slipConditioning and cleansing all in oneGood for cowashing; helps maintain moisture in between wash days with shampooInfusium23 Repair + Renew Leave In:Added to water; and great to use as a morning spritz to wake up hair in the morningExtra protection on ends and rootsHope this helps!
