Car Audio Alpine Vs Pioneer Vs Kenwood Etc

Car Audio: Alpine vs Pioneer vs Kenwood etc?

I'll start off by saying I know next to nothing about stereos or cars. That being said, I want to replace the factory radio in my '07 Corolla. I am only looking for the deck/ front audio system at this time, but I don't know which brand is going to have the best quality for my money. The following is what I need:
-Under $200
-Bluetooth
-CD player
-Front Aux
-Radio
-Easy to use ( not to install; I'm paying someone to do that)

What brand/ model should I be looking at? I've been doing research but it's all over my head. Also, where's the best place to buy? Thanks

JL audio VS JBL VS Kenwood VS Alpine?

Alpine, I told you once, I told you twice. You have a superior product in Alpine. All the rest are good - but don't even compare in quality, sound, endurance, etc.

Lanzar vs alpine vs pioneer vs any other sub?

A lot of people who don't know much about Lanzar assume everything from lanzar is crap because of the entry level Vibe and Max equipment that floods ebay and most retail sites. What those same people fail to realize is the Lanzar Optidrive equipment, dollar for dollar is among the better gear available.
There are plenty of good options, but the Lanzar Opti subs at onlinecarstereo.com are well worth the price.
I've run several different subs, but I'm currently running an Opti1232d in a large ported enclosure and it's showing no signs of stress getting 1000w rms from a very good quality amp.

Is kenwood a good brand for a car stereo?

Kenwood has been around since the beginning. Yes Kenwood is good.
For the other guy saying JVC is good, he is correct. I've had the same JVC receiver
for about 6 years with no problems

Difference in Kenwood vs. Sony and Dual or Alpine in dash Navigation/CD system?

I was told that Kenwood was the only brand that allowed you to listen to the radio up front while kids use their wireless headphones to watch movies in the back seat using a ceiling mounted DVD player. Is this true? If not, which will allow that to occur?

I bought a Kenwood DNX6160 but before I install it or remove it from the box I want to make sure its what I REALLY want. I like everything about it except that the display lights are blue whereas my car dash lights are green (I dont like that it will be 2 colors in my vehicle and prefer the green). There are some sony and Alpine that arent as noticable or, are a different color, but I was told only Kenwood would allow the versitility of listening to the in dash radio etc. while kids listen to ceiling mounted DVD player w/ wireless headphones.

What are the best car stereo brands? sony, jvc, pioneer, Dual, boss???? HELP is for bf?

JVC and Pioneer give you some of the best punch for your money. Sony is good too, though I'm not a fan of their recent designs. Kenwood is also a good brand. I would avoid "store brands" like Boss or Dual, they don't sound as good.

Alpine or Pioneer, which music system is better for cars?

They are both good brands. Pioneer was there first and along with Clarion they did set the “standards” for sound quality in cars. These are the two brands who paved the way to what the future of after market car audio industry would become. They built separate component systems and used separate amplification. This was in the 80s. These two brands showed the world that you could have very good sound quality in your car.Alpine joined the “race” but later.Of course, the best sound quality, will be the one that sounds best to you. It is up to you to decide what is best for you.For me, between Alpine and Pioneer, I will not even give it much thought.Pioneer has always been much more “politically correct”. I love Classical and Jazz and for me Pioneer tends to be more faithful. It has less color. And they were the first to introduce the automotive Compact Disc player, the first detachable face car stereo, the first to introduce a head unit with time alignment etc.Alpine sounds very good but it tends to be a bit more “colorful”, more “musical” if you will. To me it sounds less natural. But this is my own personal opinion. There are millions of people who prefer Alpine.Every audio engineer, every audio manufacturer has “its own sound”. Even the countries they have “their own sound”. I have always liked the “Japanese sound”. In home audio I have always loved the “British Sound”, and the “Japanese Sound”, in professional audio I think the “American Sound” was amazingly good. James Bullough Lansing pioneered designed and engineered some of the best sounding systems in the world for professional studios. But, as I said, its all very subjective. What sounds good to you is what you should worry about. But maybe you are asking the wrong person because I have always been a “Pioneer fan”They have always had excellent productsIn car, home, and professional audio, Pioneer has always had its place in the history of the audio industry.

I was told Rockford Fosgate is better then Pioneer..?

You can't say one is better than the other one period

you can say one is stronger, cleaner, better value, prettier, lasts longer..
Rockford, Pioneer, Kenwood, Sony, Alpine, Panasonic, JVC... They are all about the same. Everyone has their own opinion, and will argue with you until they turn blue, but that don't make any one better.
They all have unique features that will make them better in that particular aspect, but each manufacturer makes 8-10 different models, and you just can't compare them in an overall situation. Of the brands listed above, a 1000watt amp is a 1000watt amp.
When it comes to subs, up to 80% of the sound depends on the enclosure and how it is designed. A cheap store bought ported box is not a good match for your sub. With this being the case, it makes it almost impossible to even compare subs.
The only advice I can give you is that in this market you get what you pay for. There are no great deals.
