Car Hopping Motion When Stopping

What stops our bodies from running as fast as a car?

Do you mean highway speeds? It's a mix of strength and poor engineering. Legs are just levers (bones) and springs/rubber bands (muscles). A stronger spring can launch an object further. The problem is that stronger springs are bigger and they increase the load on the levers, so the levers need to be stronger and heavier too. It also matters where you put that knee joint. Faster quadrupeds have short thighs, long legs and the ankle is another lever on a spring. It's all engineered to fling the creature forward with a huge force. Bipeds artfully teeter, ambling forward. The springs and levers provide more of a hopping motion than forward propulsion. What we lose in speed, we gain in versatility and conservation of energy. We can walk much farther than other creatures because we use less energy to do it. This lets some hunters pursue their prey to the point of collapse. So, we may not be cheetahs, but there are advantages to being human. It also makes tool use more convenient.

Car hopping motion when stopping?

My car have been doing a hopping motion when braking as if there was a flat spot on a tire where it would jump after every rotation. I changed my rotor and pads today because the router had grooves and I thought it was the problem. After the change and braking in the rotors slowly I notice the problem is still there.

Anyone have any Idea what else it could be?

Why did my car shake and the check engine light flash while stopped at a light?

What you experienced was almost certainly a misfire event and the cause may be recorded as a diagnostic trouble code (DTC) in the engine controller’s memory. Most failures that are significant enough to cause MIL illumination will record a trouble code and its environmental/ data information from the moment, even if the MIL is no longer lit. Onboard Diagnostics work constantly to keep the MIL off, looking for a reason to turn the CE light out if the condition hasn’t been seen again recently, eventually even erasing trouble codes if all’s good. I can only speculate on the nature of your event, but a thorough scan to retrieve codes and freeze frame data of the moment will often shed some light on the situation.Misfires come in many flavors, ranging from slight loss of performance in a single cylinder, to one or more holes being completely dead. Your description of shake at an idle implies a power imbalance, which usually involves complete loss of performance, but just one hole.Barring an at-home scanner being available, rolling the ignition key from LOCK to RUN three times, then leaving it in the RUN position at the end will initiate the customer code-read feature, spilling any matured codes stored in the PCM through the instrument cluster’s odometer window. All codes will be four digits in length, beginning with the letter P, such as P0123. DTC information can be found at OBD2-OBDII Engine Light Trouble Codes Definitions, Description and Repair Information online.One-trip failures - those that have not quite matured - will not be displayed in this feature, but will show up on a high-end scanner if present. If only a single cylinder misfire code is retrieved, pull the coil and spark plug to inspect for signs of flashover - black marks on the upper spark plug insulator and inner coil boot that will not scratch off with a fingernail. Flashover is pretty common on coil-on-plug ignition systems and the cure is to replace both the boot and spark plug together. Worn plugs tend to incite this sort of situation as spark will always seek the path of least resistance. If your DTC list includes an injector control circuit code that matches the cylinder of misfire, chances are good that the injector is at fault. The injector may test as completely normal when cooler, but will go to an open circuit once heated, either naturally or with a heat gun.

When I brake my car jumps?

Unless you have a lot of weight in the trunk, rear brakes do little to stop a forward moving vehicle. Have you tried down shifting to see if the jumping disappears? It could be that the rotors are warped and need to be replaced or turned, or you are pushing the brakes a little harder than before because of pad wear and the ABS in operating causing your brakes to pulsate (make the car jump a bit). Test this theory before doing unneccessary work, if it doesn't help, replace the rotors or re-post.

When I was young, I saw a monster once. Can anyone lend me some insight please? Its been bothering me for years?

. After I had a regular day playing with my mothers boyfriends electronic car set, I had to go to bed. I went to my room , The lights were still on and i was still awake. At that time in my life I suffered from very real nightmares so i was scared of the edge of the bed. So I had propped myself up against the wall away from the edge. Then as soon as i thought about what it would be like if something touched my back , Then it happened! ( dont know if this was just my very imagintive mind as a boy, its most likley is however considering i just thought of it before it happened) But none the less , I was so scared that i immediatly sat up in the middle of my bed, so scared of each edge now. But the bizarre event happens next. Something for real was under my blanket! near my feet , it began what seemed a s a hopping motion under the covers towards me, obviously this filled me with terror, So in one action i hopped off of my bed and attempted to throw the blanket in the air at the same tim e to see what it was beneath the covers. But, adding to my fright , it did not throw itself up like it should have , but only the back end shot up! I was so terrerfied , i ran from my room to my mothers room , crying theres something in my room .( my mother was used to this because of my nightmares) i jumped into the bed between her and her boyfriend. Then i saw it. At the end of the bed it stood there looking at me. a very small thing, the bed was as high as its stomich. It was black , It was very small and very skinny. It had dark red eyes ( which now seems very cliche of these kind of experiences) It opened its mouth very agressivly , turned its head away , then lowered itself under the bed. I saw this thing face to face. And it was real! I remember it so vividly that now im 24 years old and i will never forget this. I was awake, healthy young child. this did happen to me.

How do I prevent dogs from climbing on my car and scratching the bonnet, windshield, roof and sleeping on it?

I have faced this problem and got very irritated because my car roof badly damaged by dog, sleeping on it.I tried lots of tricks but not successful. Finally what I did is to raise my car wiper blades up ,it got worked. Dogs hesitated to climb up.Than to be more safer side I attached a light weight carton box portion (take a cartoon box & cut a single wall of it) ,made two holes , hanged up on wiper blades. It blocked the way for dog to climb up my car's roof from bonnet. It really worked for me .This is only way to stop climb up dogs, just block the path.

How to keep people from jumping my fence?

Barbed wire on top of your fence may be regulated by law but, barbed wire inside of your fence is a different thing.

There is a technique of stringing barbed wire to make what is called "tanglefoot."

"Tangle-Foot Wire
Barbed wire or tape may be used in appropriate situations to construct a tangle-foot obstruction either outside a single perimeter fence or in the area between double fences to provide an additional deterrent to intruders. The wire or tape should be supported on short metal or wooden pickets spaced at irregular intervals of 3 to 10 feet and at heights between 6 and 12 inches. The wire or tape should be crisscrossed to provide a more effective obstacle. The space and materials available govern the depth of the field."

A crisscross of barbed wire about knee high inside your fence hidden in taller plants should be a deterrent. If I were you, and I was having the kinds of problems that you are having, I would rig this up.

Go buy a roll of stiff wire. Fasten it to the INSIDE of your fence posts about knee high with heavy wire staples that you pound in with a hammer assuming that your posts are made of wood. Put metal fence posts into the ground about ten feet inside of your fence in a line like an inner perimeter. Get a roll of four foot wire fencing and fasten to the posts making an inner fence. Now, between the two fences, string barbed wire knee high in a crisscross diamond configuration. Make it so that a person cannot take more than one step without having to step over a wire.

Just let the grass and weeds grow in between the fences. If it becomes a problem, just spray it with weed killer.

Raise a pirate flag in the backyard so that your yard is easy to identify when word gets around about which yard to avoid. If you plant tall thorny shrubs inside your fence, when they grow up, you can take down your tanglefoot. Just be sure to plant them thick enough. The Common Hawthorn is extensively used in Europe as a hedge plant.
