Interview answers for nursery job?
My first piece of advice is be honest, don't try to think of the "best" answer or "what they're looking for." Remember that an interview is not only the employer looking to see if you're a good fit for the school, but if the school (nursery) is a good fit for you. It's better to find out BEFORE you start the job if you don't agree with their philosophy rather than working there for a while then finding out you don't agree with their values. Other than that, make sure your answers express your approach to child care. Do you feel that children learn through play? Do you feel like children will make the right choices on their own if guided appropriately? What do you consider discipline to be? Specifically: Why do you want to work with children? Obviously you're not in it for the money. There are a lot of intrinsic rewards with child care, can you pinpoint some of these? How would you deal with a crying child? I think it's important to mention something about why the child is crying - attention vs. pain, etc. An example would probably be helpful here. Tell me about yourself? Remember when answering this question that the question really says "What will you bring to this workplace?" You want to tell the employer about yourself in terms of what it means to them. I doubt they care what kind of car you drive, but your approach to childcare is probably relevant.. Strengths and weaknesses? I love this question. I think it's a great way to show honesty. It's easy to come up with things you're good at (don't toot your horn too much though!) On the other hand, come up with at least one good thing you're not so great with and ALWAYS include what you're doing to work on it. For example, I know for a fact that if I get hungry, I am ridiculously irritable and short-tempered, so I always keep a snack with me. Why do you want to work at our preschool? This one is really an opinion one, I think. Did you hear good things about it? Do they have great benefits? Are they close to your home? Those answers are all okay. Just try to explain who you are without faking it, and most of all GOOD LUCK!
How far into pregnancy did you wait before starting the nursery?
I would go ahead and start on it now. I don't see why you should wait if you have the room and the energy to do it. You could keep it simple with just some wall hangings. Like hanging bright colored stars and moons on the walls and just buying the bedding pieces as separates to match and maybe a pretty border. Or teddy bears. They are usually pretty neutral. If you plan on not finding out the sex of the baby, then neutral colors are the best, I think. But if you plan to find out what you are having, then I would suggest buying all the big pieces (crib, dresser, changing table, etc) first and waiting until the big ultrasound before you buy a lot of the bedding and decor for the nursery. There's a lot of stuff out there. Check out some of the sites like Babies R Us and Wal-Mart. I started my nursery by the time I was 5 months preg. I didn't want to wait that long, but I had extreme morning sickness with both pregnancies. You just don't want to wait too long before you start on it. You never know when baby will decide to come, so get it done early. My first baby was delivered 10 days late, my second baby was delivered 15 days early. So DONT go by the due date!! I don’t know if this oil is fit for use for women. Men, here you go.I’ve personally used the Beardo oil. It showed excellent results for the hair on my head. My friends themselves complimented about the difference in my hair, and actually they were not knowing about me using this oil. You may see the difference within using half a bottle. But you may have to keep using it to maintain the results.I used to apply the oil every morning and massage it for nearly 5 minutes. After leaving it for more than an hour, I used to wash it while bathing as I don’t like oily hair. However, it would be ideal to keep it overnight.If you are using the oil on daily basis, then one bottle of 50ml will get over in a month. This could be costly for some.This oil is completely useless for beards. Mind it, this oil won't help you grow even a single new beard hair. Also, the claim by the manufacturers, of accelerated growth of existing beard hair, is a load of bullshit. I've used an entire 50ml bottle of this oil. I used it as directed on its package, i.e., twice daily on the face after a face wash.The bottle takes around 2 months to get over and within that duration of 2 months, I used to shave occasionally. After the bottle got over, I didn't shave for next 2 months, whereas, the package said only 1 month, to see a nice growth of new beard hair. But all that grew was a Chinese moustache and goatee, which was growing anyway even without using that oil.And oh yes, have a nice burst of ugly and very stubborn pimples instead of beard hair.

When you register the store will give you a list of things they suggest that you register for. Go through it and decide what you think you will need. Everyone is different and all babies are different. What works for one family won't work for others. I got things from people as gifts that they insisted I needed that I never used. I also registered for things that I thought I had to have and that my baby didn't end up liking. Things I couldn't live without -A bouncy seat for infants -A stroller/car seat set (I originally didn't think I needed one but it is so nice) -Lots of extra bedding/blankets/bassinet sheets/changing pad covers. (nothing like having to change these things in the middle of the night only to realize you don't have any extra clean sheets) -Bottles/breastpump/boppy (depending on what your plans are) -A pack and play (great for when we have to take our baby to the in-laws) -High chair -Bath sponge for a new baby and a tub for an older baby Things I wish I had registered for -An exersaucer/bouncer for older babies. (I didn't think I needed one-I ended up having to buy one) -An infant swing. (The kind that rocks in two different directions, and also reclines) Something else that helped me was to read the reviews for each thing that I chose on-line. Then you can make adjustments. The reviews are very helpful in deciding whether or not something is worth buying. Have fun.

I didn't do a theme, but there is a definite color scheme. Her walls are a pale sage/moss green and the trim/doors in the room are painted a creamy white. Her crib, dresser, changing table and glider are all white painted wood and her bedding and curtains are a similar green to the wall. I'm sorry I don't have a picture on my computer but hopefully you get a general idea.
