Career ideas and advice?

This is extremely common! Making a career choice is a big decision and if you feel it is permanent it makes it more difficult to decide. My advice is to not think of the next step as a permanent one, so you don't feel trapped by a major committment. I'm not saying to take it lightly, but rather, just relax. There are a lot of different positions in companies you would never hear or think of until you are there. Internships seem to be a very successful way of determining what you might like. You could also take a career test to determine your personality type and the environment you'd be happy in. If you think blue collar will suit you, go for it! You never know where that can take you and again, it's not permanent! You can go here to take a quiz on what you should do for a career: http://www.personalitytype.com/career_qu...

Career Advice: SLP or RN?

SLPs are in high demand. Pay goes with CMS reimbursement. Right now PT/OT/SLP are the darlings. Since they were smart enough to raise their education standards, these professions will probably remain stable for many years. Those which didn't increase their education standards to at least a Bachelors in the specialities are struggling to survive. Respiratory Therapy is an example and is now a dead profession with nursing taking it back.

Nursing is also now look at a Bachelors for their entry in some states. Many hospitals now prefer it for hiring. Nurses are generalists with a little knowledge in many areas and are the primary bedside care givers which gives them the edge for negotiating more money. A patient can wait a day or two to see an SLP but can not go without the RN and all the procedures, meds, care etc provided by the RN.

SLPs have the advantage of not having to work the night shift for many years before getting day position. SLPs are rarely screamed at by patients, doctors and families on a daily basis. SLPs don't clean poop but can cause some vomit. SLPs rarely deal with blood. In California an SLP can not even do the lido atomizer for their scoping procedure and must have an RN present to give this med.

Both are great professions. If you go for the RN, get the BSN.
If you still like the SLP part, you can specialize as an RN to work with an ENT or Otolaryngologist physician. Some also have their own Nurse Practitioners (Master - Doctorate) who do most of the skills of an SLP and much more. Pediatric NP with a specialty in Otolaryngology would be a great career if you like kids and want something more challenging.

Career Advice: What should I do?

Life is a journey of decisions one has to take by his own with reference to his own Experiences and the Calculated Risks that he/she should take.So let's understand these terms in deep:Experiences:So, there two things you should know about 1st is Passion And 2nd is Need according to Time...Just think about it what is your passion and what is your need. And then the main thing is that if somehow your need is dominant on your passion would let your passion Go?No never need comes First But Passion never Dies..Its in You and it should burn more and more with timeAlso think about this issue: SO let's get back past remembering the events happened when you talked to your parents about what should I do? What was the answer?Calculated Risks:Suppose sometimes there is nothing like this Need and Passion weigh Equal...What should a Person do?So for each event there always some chance of taking a Calculated Risk and in which some amount of Luck is also there. So one can think of taking such a risk.                                                                     And after all discussion about this I think one should first check what are his choices and what are Needs..And you will definitely Get your answer by your own?

Career advice: What should I do with my career after 26years?

GRE ---->314 means you are good at english and maths (logically not book worm)First you try to solve your passport issue because you have good experience in mnc plus masters then It will be awesome combo because in foreign they value your talent not your preference. If it is serious issue and you want to do job then just talk with your lead or project manager and tell them I am that much efficient give me one chance and still not working then leave it because it is waste of time.So first take 1 day pick up pen and paper write some points and then decide and after deciding stick with one goal."Focus on one rabbit" this is not same quote but I have read somewhere when I was reading about Jack Ma.

In between one year I got so much worried sometime taught myself to calm down.I've done mechanical with good score but falied at finding a job in core and I need money so I've started searching jobs out of my core hopingly I found an opening in GIS field which has nothing to do with my b.tech.Be talkitive and buildup relationships with family members and relatives because when I started doing that one of my cousin in relatives suggested this GIS job to me. And then I applied to it attended to interview got selected and currently in training, so family relationships are also majorly important. Be a socially networking animal build your circle. What I wanted to say is just have hope, be patient, everything takes time, move slowly, watch every minute as it is passing by carefully and use it by pushing yourself up. These all will be out of the map when you get worried so don't worry much.Wishing you all the best, hoping you will find a good job what ever it may be.
