Has anyone ever been to Carowinds?
I have been to Carowinds several times.I love it so much! It has a water park section whcih has a bunch of water slides, and it has a regular part with lots of roller coasters.It is a lot more fun if you go with a group( but make sure there is someone who will get on scary rides with you if you like scary ones).I like Top Gun (aka the Afterburn) the best.Hope I helped! Tips- If you are a guy who wants to go on the water slides, make sure you bathing suit doesn't have little metal grommits on it, because they won't let you on if they do! Bring extra money for a locker in the water park section And finally, if yo uplan to go on the water roller coaster go right before the water park because you really get drenched!
Is Carowinds funner than Six Flags?
I think she's referring to Six Flags Over Georgia since she's conflicted over whether to go to Carowinds or Six Flags (and that's the only Six Flags near Carowinds). Well they both have a good selection of rollercoasters - if you hadn't been to Carowinds lately, they have more new rollercoasters (got a new one last year and this year). They both have a similar amount of flat rides, too...and the atmosphere is both similar. Carowinds is generally less crowded. You might just want to go to the one you hadn't been to in awhile or the one that is closer and cheaper. Although Six Flags Over Georgia offers a couple of water rides (there is a small water section, but it is SMALL compared to Carowinds'), you would have to pay separately to go to their waterpark (which is at a separate location), whereas Carowinds has an attached waterpark that you do not have to pay extra for. So even though they have similarities (like online discounts for admission and the same crappy food that is overpriced), Carowinds may offer a little more in the ride department. But I guess it depends on your taste (what you like to ride). They are both fun if you go with friends you like. I would just take cost into consideration (travel and admissions). They both can be fun - look up both websites to see which ones have rides that would fit your taste better. Have fun!

Will the Carowinds Season Pass drop in price?
I believe that the cheapest prices for Carowinds was near the end of last season...I too was keeping track of the prices for season passes for Carowinds since October of last year...they were about $10 cheaper or so if you bought them at the end of last year's season (as a promotion), however since November or so they have been at the current steady price. The price will probably go up to it's regular price in late May or early June when the season picks up in crowds. Right now is the best price you will get, they will not drop the price, especially since they have a new rollercoaster there, they have no reason to drop the prices since people will pay to ride the new ride.
