Catch A Fever In The Summer Time What To Do Do U Treat It Like U Would Treat It In The Winter

Can bathing with cold water cause fever?

Bathing in cold water can cause fever in specific conditions.Fever is caused when the temperature balance of the body is disturbed. So, one can say that if you go out when it is snowing without warm clothes, or if you eat an ice cream in winter or you get a sunstroke in summer , you might get fever.Again , body constitution or Prakriti is another factor. If you are Kapha or vata prakrati, you might be more susceptible to the cold.If you have pitta prakrati, you will be more susceptible to fever through sunstroke.Another factor is body strength or immunity. If you have very low immunity and your body is unable to face temperature fluctuations, you will fall sick. And the most important factor is the water, how cold is it? and the environmental temperature. If you are bathing with chilling water in winter, then not matter what prakrati you have, you might get a fever. If it is slighly cold or even normal, but you are old, weak and with low immunity, you might fall sick. So, basically, fever is a result of a favorable combination of several factors. One of the most curious factor is the sattva, or the will power. I have seen people take bath in Ganges early morning in chilling cold and still they never fell sick. The probable reason is their faith or devotion that replicates in inexplicable immune power. However, if such people were not to take bath in an religiously appropriate manner, they might fall sick, as they might suffer from guilt and grief. Their mind sends the signal to the body that something wrong has happened!

Can a dog get parvo in the winter time??

Canine parvovirus (CPV) is a contagious virus affecting dogs. The disease is highly infectious and is spread from dog to dog by physical contact and contact with feces. It can be especially severe in puppies.

Parvo strikes anytime, any weather. I lost two puppies to parvo, while one survived from it after I took her to the vet right away upon manifestation of symptoms like fever, diarrhea (mostly bloody stools), and vomiting where aggressive treatment was done. The other two who were not as lucky died immediately of heart failure.

How do you cure cabin fever during hard Canadian winters?

Just a short Answer tonight, as I have an appointment. One has to remember that most Canadians live in cities, so they have a greater range of options. Nevertheless. by mid February in a terrible winter you may find yourself getting the grumps. So, in point form:-Blame it all on the Americans. and write something sufficiently snide in Quora.-Drink like a fish.-If you are a new Canadian, go to bed wheeping in despair. after an evening of watching your tropical homeland films on the ethnocultural channel you are paying through the nose for.-If you are not ethnocultural, run up your cablevision bill by buying films about life in Arizona.-Worship the Dominican Republic and fantacize about making a refugee claim there.-Or locate a less frightening resort location in Mexico and worship it too.-Have a frank exchange of views with your loved ones, accompanied by plentiful shrieking.-Assure yourself that when the Conservative Party of Canada takes over, they will apply for Canada to be admitted to the Dominican Republic.-Weed is now legal here, so eat a lot of weed brownies, get a sugar rush and hallucinate about being a citizen of the Dominican Republic.-Did you remember to drink enough?-If you are a person of my ethnocultural origin, fantacize a Twilight Zone episode where Rod Serling allows you to be Meyer Lansky, in Vegas, in 1955, but you never get arrested and stay there until you pass on and are peacefully interred.-On Friday and Saturday nights, go to nightclubs where beautiful young women will give you looks of fear and disgust. Then sip your Diet Coke (R) and think about how anybody who leaves Winnipeg is a fool.-If you are a beautiful young woman in a nightclub, get that loser to buy you a lot of drinks, and then give them your patented look of fear and disgust.-Fantacize about CANZUK actually happening, so you can move to Brisbane.-Trip on an ice chunk, just as you enter your office building, claim Worker's Compensation, and spend until spring in the hospital.- If you are in Ottawa, read media comments about how Winterlude and skating on the canal are so wonderful, and then send them anonymous hate mail-Get frostbite so you won't feel anything.-Tell a Floridian that you want to help make America Great Again.-Are you really sure you have drunk enough, really? So, no problem. Just imagine yourself as a personality in a beer commercial, beside a frozen lake, in a nightclub. It will all pass.Martin Levine

Can cats and dogs get fleas during the winter?

The answer to this is very dependent on the environment the animal is in.  If you are in a large multi pet building such as an apartment building, there is a greater chance your pet may still get pests if others in the building have allowed infestations to persist.  The consistent maintained heat of multi tenant buildings also allows pests to remain operational even in colder months.  Accordingly travelling with animals to warmer climates or to places shared with other animals (such as dog runs) could be potential transmission vectors of pests like fleas. If you and your animals are relatively isolated in the cold months, the chances are fleas appearing are small unless brought into the house by another animal or individual (people can carry fleas too).If an animal already has a flea infestation, then the fleas are already in the house, simply keeping the animal outside will not solve the problem as lower temperatures can disrupt a fleas life cycle but not necessarily kill it.  Fleas do require at least %50 humidity to hatch, and tend to thrive in environments of %70 humidity and 70F to 90F.  A combination of low humidity and low temperatures can be disruptive to the flea reproductive process and help in eliminating reproductive cycle but will not kill adult fleas.

Best time to buy a dog (winter or spring) ?

First, dogs should stay inside regardless of what season it is. Yes it's ok to leave them out for a little while as long as you are watching them and as long as they have somewhere to go for shelter in the event that something would happen. As for there being a best time to buy a dog, I don't think that matters. I've gotten dogs in all of the four seasons and haven't found much of a difference except when it comes to potty training - it's a little more uncomfortable taking your new pup outside all the time when it's snowing and cold than when it's warm with the sun shining!

What is winter depression?

I've heard of this thing called winter depression. It's not like some major depression illness, just a very light one. My friend has it and I think I do too. In the winter, I just feel a little more miserable. I think it's the weather because in the summer I'm so happy. Like I say, I don't get majorly depressed or anything like that. I just become a little more.. lonely. Has anyone ever heard of this? I'm just asking out of interest, really.

Cory catfish without a heater?

They'll do fine with temps in the 72-78°F range, with about 76°F a good temperature for them. Assuming it's summer time where you live, you should be fine till winter. I'd get one by then for sure, unless you keep your house really toasty warm all the time, but the heater will help to keep the temperature stable. Fluctuating temperatures aren't good for the fish. A heater is also good if you need to treat for parasite infections like ich, and you need to raise the temp in the tank.

For a heater, I would get one that's submersible(think most places are starting to only sell those for the most part), and one that you can adjust the temperature on. Depending on the size, the cost will start out about 10-15.00 for a decent one for a 10 gallon tank, to give you an idea of price. Also buy a floating thermometer, or one that suction cups to the side so you can monitor the temperature. You don't have to leave it there, just when you want to check the temp put it in. Stay away from the stick on ones, they aren't as accurate.
