Chances Of Getting Into This College

What are my chances of getting into college?

I'm going into senior year of HS and so far i have a 3.6 gpa im in wrestling, and Tennis, and i'm in a club called the national honor society. The only downside is I have a 21 on my ACT even though i'm planing on taking it again could the current Gpa, extra curicular activities, and Act score get me into a college like University of Illinois champaign, Purdue, or Depaul?

What are my chances of getting into college?

I am a 17 year old male junior and i would appreciate it if anyone could help me determine what my chances of getting into a college are as neither my school or parents have been very helpful.
My unweighted gpa is a 2.71 on a 4 point scale, I WAS TOLD THIS IS A HUGE DETRIMENT. I predict that this will not improve and might actually fall. my weighted gpa is a 3.64 on a 5 point scale. I am an intelligent person but I have some problems: I am a very nervous person and it is very hard for me to get through most of the regular test I have at school without feeling sick and losing my ability to think clearly; I usually score in the d to b range. My problems have not been diagnosed by a psychiatrist or any specialized doctor (that is not financially possible for me), though my general doctor did offer me the same medication that a specialist would provide. In addition, my school did agree to give me extra time on some tests.
other considerations:
I scored 29 on the ACT though I predict I will score as high as 32 in the upcoming tests.
I go to a public school within the 10 best in the state
I am involved in many extracurriculars and am the captain of the chess team
I am heavily involved in community service with my boy scout troop
I am a first generation immigrant, though I have a green card
My family's income is below average
I take various honors classes and have taken APUSH and APEURO so far

I would like to attend a public school (ex. u. of Missouri, Wisconsin, Michigan, etc)

Do i have a chance of getting into college?

Im a senior and I pretty much took the average classes and ap history and english course. I think you made a wise choice in dropping classes. It will show the universities that you know your working ability and your boundaries.
But it seems like you set your self up with too many difficult classes. It seems like your smart and will turn around things in time to get into Michigan.
How about contacting university offices and telling them about whats going on? They usually respond fast and have good advice. They may suggest some classes you could take outside of your highschool settig to get credits to improve your gpa.

Will this F affect my chances of getting into College?

I'm in my second semester of high school and im worried about my gpa and getting into the college of my choice. I used to have a 3.50 before, but last semester I had 5 classes and had 3 As, 1 C and 1 F. I'm afraid that this F will affect my gpa greatly and maybe my chances getting into a certain college that not many get accepted into.Im having trouble figuring out my GPA and I live in Puerto rico where the credit system is different I get 1 credit for most courses and 1/2 for electives and I need only 19 credits to graduate. 9th grade isnt considered part of high school. So will this F lower my GPA greatly and my chances of getting into this college. Its the UNiversity of Puerto rico. Is senior year more important then any other year?

Will getting a C ruin my chances of getting into a good college?

A single C? You’ll be fine.I can’t speak for the top tier Ivy’s, but most good schools understand that applicants are human and make mistakes or have rough patches sometimes. Some even suggest that students give context to those times so that you may be “forgiven” for the poor performance. Also if you are applying to specialized schools and the C was in a class totally unrelated to the subject you are pursuing, it will most likely be disregarded. Hell, even if it is in a related class, but you made up for it later, it will probably be fine. I got a D in my sophomore math class and still ended up getting into my first choice engineering school, and its pretty safe to say math courses are related.Just stay in that 5–10% range, do well on any standardized exams, and you’re good to go.

What are my chances of getting into Berklee College of Music?

My guitar teacher went to Berklee and wrote me a nice letter of recommendation as well as a few of my other music directors. I did their 5 week performance program last summer and I did Guitar Sessions two summers ago. I know they don't care about grades all that much either (just as long as you are passing everything). I also worry I'm annoying my enrollment officer as well (I've probably emailed her a total of 8 times with some questions too) but I doubt I am but I asked her if she could change some things in my application because I do have a lot of anxitey and I really want to go to Berklee.
My audition I don't feel went great (I was sick so of course during the ear training portion I struggled a bit) but I feel as if my interview went very well. I also added to my list of Berklee Alumn I studied with. My 5 week grades I wish had been better but I was taking 22 classes a week. I do have a learning disorder and I was there with no accommodations. I had to skip some classes to eat.
All advice is welcome.

Who has a better chance of getting into a college: a community college graduate or a high school graduate?

My belief is that the CC graduate (with an AA degree) and better than a 2.5 GPA at the CC, will be able to directly start her/his junior year at her/his state's public four year college.   Of course, they must "pre-register" for that option.   Here are two examples:Community College Connection   (Massachusetts)Transfer Admission Guarantee   (California)  Of course, it is my belief that anyone who finishes high school in the USA with a solid B or B- average should be able to find a four year college somewhere in the USA that will accept them.   Whether that college is cost-effective for them is another matter.

What are my chances of getting into the following colleges out of state ?

You should definately apply, but for your SAT if that is 1100 for the 3 parts (reading, math and writing), you need serious help. If that is just for Math and Reading, thats a different story.

Alabama A&M: You should be ok. Not a great school though. Admissions is very simple.

University of Cincinnati: I'd say slim at best. Your ACT and SAT scores are below their lowest range and your grades won't boost that up at all.

North Carolina A&T: You should be ok. Not a hard school to get into though.

Alabama State: You should be ok. This is not a good school though. SAT average, for example, for admissions is 680!

Clark Atlanta: You should be ok. This is a bit better than the other schools you are ok for, but still, the average SAT is 810.

Florida A&M: This is ok as well. Once again, not a hard school to get into. SAT Average is 880.

Southern University A&M College: You are fine here. This is not a school I'd suggest. They ACT range is 15 - 18, they don't require SAT Reading and the SAT math range is 380-460!

Northern Kentucky University: Another along the same lines. SAT range is: 890 - 1100.

Alcorn State: One more exactly the same. SAT Range is: 800 - 930.

I suggest you get a better group of schools. You have a bunch that are all exactly the same. You should shoot for a school where your SAT/ACT scores are right in the middle. You should also try and get that GPA up as much as possible.
