The secret life of walter mittyThis would be my first choice. The movie is about a magazine worker who misses the next edition's cover picture and gets on a search to find the photographer and grab a copy. Mitty's journey takes him through happiness, misery and a sense of knowing himself. Each frame of the movie is worth of being a nature portrait and it's worth watching just to drool at the landscape scenes.  Into the wildThis one is a definite entry into any travel movie list and it portrays probably the holy grail of travel adventures. The movie beautifully follows the journey of an adventure kid who abandons all of his earthly tieups and set out to discover Alaska. The inquisitive and charming nature of Christopher McCandless is brought out perfectly and makes this movie lovable.   Zindagi Na Milegi Dobaara (Hindi)A group of friends set out on one last bachelor trip before their buddy gets hitched. Tempers flare, personalities clash,  fiancées play spoilsport and romances blossom all amidst the eye-popping scenery of Spain. Breezy Bollywood songs and a fantastic chemistry among the cast makes this movie as a must-watch. Lord of the rings trilogy When JRR Tolien had written this novel, he would've never imagined that decades ahead a visionary film maker would be able to recreate the magic which had been pictured only by the readers would translate flawlessly on to the big screen.  If you had been living under a rock for so long, this is a story of a group of small men nudged into an adventure much bigger than their wildest dreams and travel across the Middle-earth. New Zealand plays the perfect spoil as middle earth and the raw, pristine aura is something which has to be on any travellers bucket-list.   The time travellers wifeThis is not your "Touristy" travel movie.  The travel and adventure zips between different timelines and interweaves a beautiful love story amidst all that. The movie is about a guy who has the ability to time travel but couldn't control the timing of it. This leads to strange, awkward entry and exits of him playing a lover at different parts of a girls life. The lead pair has a great chemistry and the storyline and screenplay is topnotch. It leaves you heavy hearted to know the fate of the couple halfway through the movie and then unwillingly to wait for it happen at the end of the movie. Why spears are not popular in RPG games?There are two aspects to this question. Firstly, swords, shields, daggers and even mauls are a lot more romanticized in fantasy novels, series and books, which are often the influence behind RPGs.As a gamer, it feels more satisfying to be a heavy armor clad gladiator, who can yield a short sword and a shield, a two handed great sword or even two broad swords. There are so many different kinds of swords that the possibilities are endless.On the other hand, people who like to play rogue/agile characters often prefers daggers, small shields and bows.Magicians and mages use staffs, and sometimes, swords, too. Jus to take an example from Lor of the Rings; which is arguably the most popular fantasy novel in the whole world—we all remember Gandalf and his white staff and broadswords. We also remember Aragorn’s Anduril sword, Legolas’s bow and arrows and Gimly’s axe.But spears are nowhere to be seen prominently. Only some of the Rohirrim horse lords tried using them against Nazguls and the Haradrim soldiers, but they were not too effective.Unlike swords and other weapons, spears are not attached with any certain kind of “stock” RPG characters, which reduces its value.When I play an RPG, I might pick up a spear and also use it for a while, but I’ll replace it with swords or other other weapons as soon as I find them—mostly because, spears are made weak and they don’t look cool, either.Here comes the other dimension. if the developers made really strong and cool looking spears, people might have picked them over other weapons. But in many games, spears are throwable, one time use weapons, and in others, they lack damage and attack speed to the level of being ineffective.Developers point of view? If they made spears the most strongest weapon, people would possibly turn away from the game they made.So it’s a dilemma, and hence I see no good future for spears in RPGs.
