Charges For Reading Emails

Shouldn't it be enabled to file charges for spam emails?

As much as I want to back you up for this , I don't think it is the right thing.Firsltly , spam mails annoy everyone. But the thing is that , not just are they an important part of marketing of a product or an idea but also they earn the organisation valuable revenue.Secondly , these spam mails provide jobs to people who might lose them if you won the case you filed against them. And finally , spam mails might be spam for you. But are there any universal spam mails. No. What's spam for you might be really important for someone else. The job offer mail you think as spam might be the offer that somebody was waiting for. So , since the definition of spam is not a definite one for everyone but depends upon context , a case of that sort might not look practical. Because for the person who is sending them , all the mails are pretty important and so is sending them to different people. So , that's why you can't file against a case against the spam mails.

Ex-Roommate opened my mail - Pressing Charges?

My ex-roommate opened my mail that failed to get forwarded to me.
It was a response from a graduate school I had applied to.
I never told her she could open it, she sent me a message (facebook) that I got the mail, and that I didn't get in (like I wanted her to know that.....)
I asked her to mail it to me so I could see it for my self. It took her 1 month to mail it over a distance of a mere 100 miles (same state).
It arrived all folded up unevenly with greasy oily stains all over it.

#1) I have a documented series of messages where she admits to opening the mail, without me ever asking her to - I only asked if any mail came for me.

#2) I have it documented in via e-mail/facebook inbox messages that she waited over three weeks after I asked her to mail it to me (and any responses from other schools that came- unopened).

Do I have a case?
I am going to school overseas, can I press charges and present the evidence to the authorities and let them take over while I leave for studies in another country?

Husband receiving Zoosk emails?

A few days ago I asked to use my husband's smart phone to check my email. It automatically brought up his gmail account which was full of emails from Zoosk.com saying so-and-so had viewed his profile or sent him a message. Last August I was away for a week and when I came home there were about 7 charges from Zoosk.com on his credit card. He claimed that he was scammed through a porn site and swears up and down that he never created a profile on the zoosk dating site. Does anyone have experience with Zoosk? Can they send you messages saying someone viewed your profile if you've never created one? He has been shady about a few things recently (lying about talking to a girl even though it was platonic in nature then lying about the fact that she moved to the area recently) and we have been going through a rough time the past year. I love him but I will not put up with BS the rest of my life and I want to find out the truth.

Also--I did not read the emails as he was sitting next to me, when I showed him he said again that it was a scam and that he thought he "deleted that app". No clue what that meant.

How can I read my Zoosk messages without paying?

Like the Anonymous user said, you’re unable to view messages on Zoosk without a subscription. But you don’t necessarily have to pay to view them. What I recommend people do for Zoosk and Match is look for a free trial. Then get a prepaid card from Walmart or wherever else and put 5 bucks on it.Then use the prepaid card when they ask you to put your credit/debit card on file. That way if you don’t want to continue on after your free trial they’ll be unable to charge you.The reason I suggest doing the prepaid card?Because 90% of the time free trials make it an enormous pain in the ass to cancel a free trial. Free is supposed to mean free. And it does with the prepaid card that they can’t use. Worse case scenario is that you’re out 5 dollars. If you’d like to continue after the free trial they generally make it pretty easy to update your card information.

Where is making threats illegal?

I was reading about someone getting charged with criminal threats, and I was actually kind of shocked. In my state, Maryland, making threats is not illegal. About a year back I was getting a peace order against someone, so I went to the court house to file a petition. I told them I was being threatened and they told me I could get a peace order, but that making threats was not illegal except under certain circumstances.
At the peace order hearing, before we all went into the court room the person I was getting a peace order against started threatening me (IN THE COURT HOUSE). A security guard told him that he needed to sit down and get out of my face. I asked if I could press charges for making threats and he told me I could not. He explained to me that he, the police officer, could sit there and tell me that he was going to shoot me in the face, but unless he had a gun in his hand that it was not illegal.
When we got into the court room I told the judge that he had threatened me, and that he had done it right outside the court room. I told her I wanted to press charges against him, but she told me that it was not illegal to make threats. He even admitted to the judge that he had sent me threatening emails and text messages and that he intended to follow through and the judge didn't do anything.

I don't understand though. Why is making threats in Maryland not a crime? Please do not argue and say that the judge was mistaken. I trust the judge and a police officer know what they are talking about.

Getting in trouble for online casino charge back?

Just wondering, if i was overcharged on an online casino and did a fraud charge back can i just in trouble? i am getting phone calls and emails from the online casino saying they will report me to the appropriate authorities....however it is illegal to gamble online in the US using a credit card that was banned and they charged my card under a different name so it would go through, isn't this money laundering and wouldn't they get in trouble for fighting it? and the bank said the charges were from London england
