I cannot open attacments in my yahoo mail.?

There are a few reasons why your attachment might not appear or open correctly:

You might have problems viewing an attachment if your browser is not properly configured to view that type of file. Usually, the easiest solution is to upgrade your browser to the most recent version:
Download the latest Firefox browser>> http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/

Download the Internet Explorer browser>> http://www.microsoft.com/windows/downloa...

If you're having trouble reading an Adobe PDF file, you'll need to install the Adobe Acrobat Reader, which allows you to open and read these types of files. For more information, click here.http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/
You might also have problems viewing an attachment if it was sent in an unreadable "encoding type." When a message is sent, the sender might be able to choose an encoding type. If possible, the sender should use MIME encoding.

I cannot download attachments when I open my yahoo email on Google Chrome? Can you tell me why?

You may try the following before saving or attaching files:
- Turn on Full Session HTTPS.
- Use a different web browser.
- Check email security level and settings of your antivirus.
Anyway I've found it much easier to use one of free services on the Internet to send or recieve files on your email instead of attaching them.

How do i change the program that open my attachments?

First thing you need to check is what the file extension of the attachments are and then make sure you have a program installed that can handle the attachments. Some programs allow you to set it as a default program to open file types in preferences. Otherwise you've have to set this option in your operating system. You didn't mention what operating system you were using so you'll have to look up how to do that.

Why won't paint open my pdf attachment?

Pamela, it sounds like you have associated PDF files with MS Paint, and that won't work because a PDF is not an image file.

Depending on what version of Windows you're running, there are different options on how to restore PDF files to be opened with Adobe Acrobat Reader.

Try using Windows Explorer ... right click on any PDF file ... select Properties ... from there you should be able to change the File Association by checking the "Open with ..." options and point it to Adobe Acrobat Reader.
