Checking the status of my job application?
Applying for jobs takes patience, which I know is difficult when you are wanting to start work this very second. I would say that checking in on your application for HT tomorrow or Wednesday is fine. You want to ask for the Mgr and introduce yourself. Say that you submitted an application on Monday and that you wanted to make sure they received it and if they had any questions or concerns regarding your information. Regarding the one you submitted online, that is a bit different. I would wait a few days and call the Winn Dixie you want to work for and ask for the Mgr. Explain that you submitted your application online and were checking to make sure it made it in their hands. Being eager is a good quality in a job seeker, however you want to respect their hiring process timeline. Getting information regarding their process is a good idea so you can better manager your expectations. Good luck

It's 50-50 chance checking in will work, but its worth a try. Just go by Mon-Thurs from like 1-3 and ask to speak to the hiring manager or general manager and tell them who you are and are that you are there to check in on your application. Tell them key stuff like how soon you can start, when you can work, and be sure to smile and be friendly, making comments about how interested you are in working there. It may not be totally true, but it works and that's all that matters.

It's too soon. The announcement doesn't close until tonight midnight, and there could be a hundred applications or more that the HR person has to go through. If you call tomorrow, you may be able to confirm that they received the application, but they won't be able to tell you anything more. Give it a week and then call.

The only way to tell is by calling the store. The application itself is scored..... how it's scored I'm not even quite sure. But only appilications with passing scores are faxed automatically to the store. That's why you should call the store and ask for a manager and make sure they received the application. The fax machine is usually in the pharmacy section of the store, not the manager's office..... so even if you passed, the application may not have been given to the manager for a number of reasons.... (fax machine not working; application paperwork lost in the pharmacy section, etc...) The actual application for either 60 or 90 days (forget which), but as you can see it's VERY important to call the store to follow-up! Ask for a manager, hopefully there are job openings for you!

I would call and ask to speak with the front end manager, then tell them that you were calling to check on your application. Don't tell the service desk person it is in regards to a job application, she'll just tell you it's on file.

I turned in my application to First Class Pizza on May 22nd and they have yet to reply to me. Should i call and check on the status? Cause whether they hire me or not, wont they give me a call to say whether or not i got the job?
