Note: minimum the declared value lesser the Transportation cost ( declare near about 10–20k if the bike is already insured).Get the bike packed by porters outside the office after emptying the tank. They will charge you around 300. Do bargain for Rs 200. Don't forget to take receipt which is a mandate at receiving station.At the receiving station go to inward parcel office with receipt. Check your bike and get the receipt stamped by the officer there. Then he will guide you to gate pass issue counter where you need to pay parking charge if any (Rs 10/hr after 6 hrs of bike arrival at destination station). Once the gate pass is issued you need to get it verified by the same inward parcel officer and then you are good to go.

They charge(indian railways) the price for 300 kg for bike.If your bike is of 110 kg or 295 kg it doesn’t matter, they will charge for 300 kg if it is bike.You can check the rates. Other than this there will be loading and packing charges(approx 300).Plus there will be 1% of bike cost charge(the value of bike at present).
