Was Chobits an anime aimed at males or females?
My friend and I were arguing over this. I think the target demographic was males because: Persocoms being a fantasy replacement for real women Chii pretty much having the perfect figure, loyal, will do anything and does all that cutesy stuff. The main character being a relatable male to the target audience He thinks that it's targeted towards women because: The sappy romance Not enough fanservice (like say a harem) to target it towards males Most men would find the show boring Who would you say is right? Now I know a lot of you will say "It was targeted towards both" now that's probably true BUT a show will always be geared more towards one demographic than another. Please tell me what you think!

Does Chobits get any better (less flashbacks)?
Once the second half of chobits starts its very verbatim and monotonous. the flash backs do eventually subside as you reach the final episodes but I was never really a fan of the last few episodes, it starts to get "dark" and too serious for my personal tastes, and the "light-hearted feeling" you get from say the first 15 episodes starts to go away. That's not to say you shouldn't continue, seeings how you only have 6 episodes plus one speical left. The speical is nothing but flashbacks though, it kinda sums up all the events from begining to end. If you don't like the flashbacks I wouldn't waste my time with the speical. As I said before you're almost finished so why not just finish it out, might as well. Anyways hope this helps.
Looking for a anime with a unpopular female main character and a popular male that falls for her.?
I have already seen Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun, Chobits, Fruits Basket (my fav.), Kimi Ni Todoke, Itazura na kiss, Kaichou wa maid sama, Kamisama Hajimemashita, and Suki-tte li na yo. If you have any suggestions to any anime like this that i have not listed i will be very interested in hearing what you have to say. Please leave a little detail about what it is about so i can get a feel for it. I dont like anime that revolves around sports, and i also read manga so if there is not a show that is fine as well. but we are confused whether you want to watch it or read it man, if you use it interchangeably. anyway, kickass anime are samurai champloo, baccano, eden of the east, and if you really really love gore, shigurui: death frenzy. just 5 min into that i nearly puke. naruto and dbz is lighthearted, so only watch this if you can really stand it.
An anime similar to Kobato?
So, I watched this amazing anime called Kobato and it really struck a couple of chords in my heart making it my top anime EVER! I was wondering if any of you anime watchers/lovers out there knew of one similar to Kobato. If you've never watched it before, I really recommend it. Kobato is a Comedy /Fantasy /Magic/Romance/Seinen/Slice of Life anime. One of the absolute best. I'd really love to watch an anime like this one. I've already watched Air a very long time ago, which is very good as well. Please help me find another one :) Thank You
