Christmas Situation Read

Can anyone please tell me what the poem ' White Christmas' by W.R Rodgers is exactly about?

“The Sad Story of The Invisible Poem”

A poem you have; understanding not.
How to solve this sticky situation?
You have read it but to you it means squat.
All you really need; Libby’s summation!

Now here is the live fly in the ointment.
Libby is powerless without the words;
So you are set up for disappointment
And hoped for success is off with the birds!

Help me, to help you
Comprehend the words
Of this poem new.
No words; you get turds!

What situation with your children made you realize you were becoming like your own mother or father?

Whîle sitting at Starbucks trying to study, a woman brought in her 4 year old twins. The mother got in line and the twins began crawling on all 4s saying “meow meow meow “ not stopping. The twins crawled to the other end of the store where there was a display of coffee mugs and a Christmas tree. One girl began climbing on the display and the other girl climbed the Christmas tree. They were making a lot of racket, and I couldn’t hear the Louis Armstrong Billy Haliday Christmas song. I couldn’t hear myself read.Another customer said “ would you please watch your children. The mother chuckled and said, “It's okay. They’re creative. That's how they learn.”At that moment, I realized I hate children. That is one of the few things I have in common with my parents. Unlike my own parents, I see it as unfair to them to breed if you don’t like kids—yer probably not going to be a good parent. I vowed never to have any, not even adopt.

How much would you spend on a 3 year old for Christmas?

It depends on the type of family you are. If you don't buy things throughout the year, the answer is much different than if the kid has plenty of clothes and toys.I picked up clearance toys through the year and got some awesome deals. But way too many toys last year for my 3 year old who had no toys on her Christmas list. She seriously wanted a jersey, a comforter and a vacation (the latter was over budget). It also depends on your financial situation. Don't go into debt over it. This Christmas is the first one where your kid will be able to remember last year. If you buy a pack of candy canes for the tree they can eat on Christmas and check out a couple of Christmas books from the library and spend the day cuddling, reading, going for a walk and may be a parkor playing a game that will be enough. That said, if your budget permits it is a good time to get things your kid needs. My is getting sneakers in the next size up. If yours needs socks or underwear many families buy them for Christmas. Traditionally stockings were filled with fruit and maybe a couple pieces of candy. A harmonica goes a long ways for play value (you can get a nice metal one for under $10 from a music store or Amazon). As well as a game like "The Sneaky, Snacky Squirrel Game" if you have time to play it together and it makes memories. My nearly 5 year old still loves it.

Question about "A Christmas Carol" stave 1?? (Need answer soon!)?

Ok i have to answer some questions about Stave 1 of A Christmas Carol:

What, besides Christmas, does Scrooge ridicule in his conversation with his nephew?

We read part of it today in class but we can't bring the books home-there isn't enough.

Anyone know the answer/have the book that you can look it up in? Thanks in advance

Whats a good attention grabber for the Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens?

Hypothetical situation: " sizzle..... Pop pop crack. As the sound of the last embers from the small heater stove fade, dont replenish that fire mr. cratchet, or you wont get payed!"

What are the best ideas to enjoy a happy lonely Christmas?

Why will it be lonely? To me that implies that you feel being alone as wrong or unsatisfying in some way.Try reframing the situation.Make plans. Plans can include ways to use your time in meaningful or productive ways. You can go for a hike, read a book you have not had time to read, catch up on ironing, household chores, clean out your car, organize paperwork, organize your photos, update your iTunes account, download a new game and play it, make new dishes you have wanted to try, go ice skating, rent a mountain cabin, adopt a new pet and spend your time getting to know them, volunteer at a homeless shelter or a hospital for the day, offer to read to elderly people in assisted living facilities, go visit some wounded warriors at a VA facility, go to a children’s hospital and offer to deliver meals from the hospital cafeteria to visiting families so they can focus on their kids, put birdseed out and count your new friends when they come and eat, borrow a class on DVD from your local library and learn something new, bake cookies or other goodies then package them up and deliver them to your local fire departments or your police Dept. There are so many options for things that you can do; things that are meaningful and fulfilling. Why allow yourself to feel alone? I don’t get it; there is a whole life out there for you to live, being lonely only robs you of the joy of your life. Each day is precious but no day is precious because of the date it represents on a calendar; it is precious because it is your day; a day given to you for the sole purpose of you living it.I think it is your obligation to live it the best way you can. I think you are selling your life too cheaply by allowing yourself to believe your day is lonely because it is Christmas. If you don’t want to be alone then become your own best friend and enjoy your company. Fill the time you have with activities that are fulfilling and meaningful to you; you will forget to think of your day as lonely. This is your life and only you can make it the best life for you!

Has anybody read the Christmas book "Bubble Gum Santa"?

If so, isn't it the best?! Santa blows the biggest bubble and when it pops, it gets all stuck in his beard so the elves help him shave it off. My Dad had a beard and whenever he would shave it off, my brother, sister and I would say Dad looks like bubble gum santa!

I recently got 700 dollars for Christmas, how do I use it to improve myself?

First of all take a piece of paper. Write down what are the things you want to improve in yourself. This is the most important part. Unless you know what are the enemies to target for u wont succeed. Your list may go like this:HealthProper dietPositive thinkingAvoid procrastination etcThis self analysis is very important. Now prioritize those things u want to achieve immediately. For example if your health is not good you must immediately take some actions. That may be either visiting a doctor or reading a book according to your situation. I would suggest you some books you may consider.1 Eat that frog by Brian Tracy . Best book if you have procrastination problem.2 The power of habits by Charles Duhigg. To know how habits works and successfully change your destructive habit patterns3 How to win friends and influence people by Dale Carnegie . Classic to learn how to deal with people and gain confidence.4 The power of now by Eckhart Tolle . My favourite. It teaches how to live in the now and get rid of unnecessary anxiety. It is quite difficult to grasp so You can consider Wherever you go there you are by Jon kabat zinn .5 I can make you thin by Paul Mckenna excellent book if your aim is losing some weightNow you cannot read all these back to back. Choose any one you like acoording to your priority . Read slowly like a textbook, highlight important stuffs and main thing is you need to apply in your life, knowing is not enough. All the best.
