Chrome And Mozilla Firefox Both Not Loading Any Sites.

Google website and login not working on Google Chrome or Firefox?

I don't have an answer but I am also having this problem and it is frustrating the blankity blank out of me.

Mozilla Firefox VS Google Chrome?

I think Google Chrome is better than Mozilla Firefox, because Google Chrome is very fast and safety, but also Mozilla Firefox is ok. They are two of the best browsers. Yes, you can use all browsers that you want.

Which is better: Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox?

Google Chrome Pros:

- It's really fast
- You barely notice it's there
- It gives you more control over tabs
- It makes searching simpler
- It opens new doors on your home page
- It lets you stay incognito
- You can choose themes

Cons:

- Hardly any add ons
- You can't synchronize
- It may crash
- Advertisements pop up
- Some pages with multiple Flash animations render slower than Firefox

Firefox Pros:

- The interface is easy to use. I've tried Chrome, Safari, Internet Explorer, and Opera. No matter how many cool features those browsers have or how much faster they go than Firefox, I keep coming back to Firefox. It just works the way my mind works.

- It's open source and cross-platform. You can use it on Windows, Mac, and Linux.

- It has a lot of cool extensions and themes.

Cons:

- It's becoming more and more popular. Security through obscurity isn't effective security, but every web browser has exploits that get discovered periodically and patched shortly afterwards. The more popular a browser is, the more likely it is the exploits will be taken advantage of before they get patched.

- It is a memory hog. It has been for a while. Now, if you have 2 GB of RAM or more, that's not really an issue. You may even be fine with 1 GB of RAM.

- There are a small handful of badly designed websites that are Internet Explorer-only. I don't use any myself, but I know other people who do. If that's you, you may want to look into a Firefox extension called IETab.

The only way to see which you really like is to try them out for yourself. The downloads are free and you can always uninstall them. I prefer google chrome because it is much easier to use, faster and much more efficient.

Hope this helped :)

Why do I keep getting pop-ups in Chrome and Firefox despite having Adblock Plus?

I'm going to have to break down the answer to this question into two pieces: first how pop-ups are likely occurring and second armed with that knowledge what you could do.First, browser's like Chrome attempt to naturally block pop-ups that aren't initiated by a user action. See [1] for an interesting analysis and solution to this problem if you are so inclined.  So I think we can break down pop-ups into two cases.Case a) This is a popup that was clearly not intended by the website's owner. In this case I agree with Don Marti, you may have some malware. Google "malware scanner" for some options here.Case b) This popup was in fact intended by the website's owner. You see even if you don't think it's a good experience, website owners don't always make the best decisions here. Especially if you are on a website of quasi legal status, you wouldn't do that would you?  Of course even mainstream websites make stupid calls when it comes to balancing user experience versus revenue. Either way Google or Firefox may well view this popup as 'legitimate'.Let's assume case b), now enter Adblock. Since you are a user you've probably long enjoyed a 'crap' free internet experience. So any deviation, even on grey websites, may feel very jarring.  It's possible that this particular pop-up is being delivered by an advertiser who has paid Adblock off to be a member of the Acceptable Ads - Adblock Plus program.  However, I don't think this is pretty likely. Those guys have a lot a to lose and have little incentive to anger users like yourself. So most likely this is an advertiser who is being both being enabled by the website and isn't in Adblock's filter list. (Adblock works by a applying a list of scripts and URLs that it's plugin looks for and blocks. If a bad actor isn't on the list they can get through.)If the above sounds like you, then what can you do about all of this? Well one option is to review what filters you've setup and if you think you are configured correctly then report a new advertisers to the filter owner. See this for more: Getting Started - Adblock PlusIf you are technically savvy you can inspect the page source of the site in question and see if a technique, similar to [1], is being employed and add your own manual filter to shut them down.If you think you fall outside of the above scenarios, I'd love to hear more about it![1]http://theandystratton.com/2012/...

HTTP sites are not working while HTTPS sites are working in Firefox & Chrome, any insight?

If https is working and http is not working in 2 browser, im guessing that means something is bloking the http protocol or port 80 on ur pc/mac.1. Http protocol is blocked:some antivirus network traffic scanners works by blocking certain protocols on specified applications.NOD32 antivirus does that. If you are using NOD32 tehn i would suggest checking your nod32 ESET settings for which applications are excluded from bloking the ports. You shpuld not block any browser fr http or https protocol. If ypu are using some other antivirus, plz play around the settings to see if anythinh bloking protocol.2. Incomming traffic to Port 80 blockedIf none of your browser can acccess http site then this may b cause. Firewall can block certain port. Check your firewall settings for port 80.If none of this work, and if you are using PC try restarting ur pc in SAFE MODE. And try accessingHope this suggestion might help.
