Closest 3* Or 4* All Inclusive/beach Front Resort Near Havana

Best place to vacation in Cuba?

Can anyone recommend a good resort in Cuba? I'll be going in April so I have some time.

I'm looking for an all inclusive, on the beach. Preferably, I'd like to be close enough to Havana to take a day trip there.

Any advice for Cuba would be great. Thanks!

Where is the BEST beach in Cuba?

Okay, I guess these guys think you´re from the U.S. LOL and that you actually don´t know what you´re requesting.

So, that being said, Cayo Coco is beautiful. It´s in the keys and has 3 shades of clear turquoise water and powdery white sand. The people there are warm, kind and hospitable. But because it is on its own, you need to drive into the city of Morón about 45 minutes. Many would love to take you into their town and show you hospitality even in their homes :-)

I've never been to Veradero, but from what I know, it's a different atmosphere and many locals are nearby.
However, Cayo Coco resorts are only 15 minutes away from the airport which means more time on the beach. Hotel Tryp Caco Coco is an awesome resort...great people, great entertainment, and the food is great too. The layout of the resort is the most beautiful in all of Cayo Coco.
If you are looking for 'over water bungalows', you will find that in Cayo Coco at a different resort down from Tryp.

In Veradero, you will probably find a highly populated resort...but Tryp Cayo Coco is not overly populated. You will have an awesome time there.

So check out these sites...they'll give you an idea of what you are looking for.

Have a great time!
¡Buen viaje!

I want to take my mom to Cuba Next year for her 50th Birthday. Where in Cuba should I go?

I recommend Cayo Coco. If you're just looking for total relaxation then that's the place to go. But there are still a lot of things to do as well. The beach is simply gorgeous...powder white sand and clear turquoise water.
Cayo Coco is off the mainland and is a little more secluded than if you were in Varadero, Camaguey or Guardalavaca.

Also, the airport in Jardines del Rey is only a 15 minute drive to the hotels nearby.

I recommend hotels that are no less than 4* to ensure quality all around. Sol Melia hotels are excellent in Cuba and I would recommend my personal favourite being Tryp Cayo Coco. It's a beautiful resort. The layout is open, bright, easy to get around and really beautiful. I would suggest booking a room that is either 2nd or 3rd floor facing the ocean. Simply breathtaking and just relaxing.
The restaurants are great and the food is actually very good.

Depending on when you go to Cuba will determine price fluctuations. But Tryp Cayo Coco is always very reasonable. Take a look at the sites for pricing. Especially at tripcentral.ca will you find the final price listed (taxes and surcharges included). But most travel sites will be willing to match or beat same travel packages. Just be sure to call and speak to an agent in person instead of booking online so that you can get price matches and any other trip requests (such as room bookings, etc).
