Clothes Getting Random Stains On Them

I have random stains on my clothes AFTER i wash them. Whats causing it?

It may be the washer or dryer, but if you are talking about grease stains with no color(just a grease spot-like cooking oil)) I have had that happen several times over the years and finally realized what happens. If a spot of cooking oil drips or is wiped on your clothes, like from french fries, pizza, or frying food,it is usually so small you don't notice it.For some reason it spreads once it is washed.I have found this usually only happens on cotton material.
They only reason I even noticed once was I was wearing my favorite sweatshirt and got a teeny spot on it while eating pizza.I washed it right away and came out with a half dollar sized grease spot on it exactly where the small spot was before I washed it.

Sometimes i get a bunch of orange stains on my clothes after laundry.can anyone tell me what causes this?

"Rust Stains
The yellow, orange or brown spots we sometimes find on our clothes may be caused by rust. Iron content of over .2 parts per million in your water supply can cause these type of stains, so it's important to have your water supply checked. Two possible sources can be rust water pipes or water heaters. One way to combat this problem is by using a mechanical water softener with an iron filter. Also, using a non-chlorine bleach can help, as chlorine bleach may cause the iron in the water to precipitate on fabrics and leave stains"

To remove the stains I have always had good luck with a product called Whink Rust Stain Remover. Just follow instructions on the brown plastic bottle..

Weird orange stains on clothes! help!?

I agree, it is RUST.
Check your washer for rust spot or a loose item like a nail in it. Also some clothing zippers or jean snaps have been known to rust. If you leave clothes sitting too long in the washer after washing them (even just overnight) the rust can discolor your clothes.
Rit Dye sells a rust remover for white clothes. You should be able to find it at Walmart. Here's what it looks like:

What is causing the brown/orange stains on clothing that comes out of the wash?

It usually appears on the collar and sleeves of garments and I can't get it out with any stain remover. Had to take my son's brand new scout shirt to the cleaners and they got it out but didn't say how. So many things are getting ruined in my wash. I think it may be when I mix bleach in the wash with tide, I have seen an orange swirl occur when they are mixed in the water then it disapears. Perhaps when the bleach is added during the wash??? I need to know how to get the stains out. So many nice pieces of clothing ruined :(!

What could be causing random yellow stains on clothing?

I'm completely baffled, but sometimes I find random yellow stains on clothing that has been washed and it's not like it's in the armpit area because I would have just attributed that to perspiration I guess, but I have found some clothes that I've laundered with sporadic yellow spots on it. Like on shirt has a few yellow spots on it, a pair of pajama pants has a yellow "stain" on part of the waist band and down near the knee. This has happened on white clothing, some grey clothes, and a couple of other colors like light blue, etc.., but not on all of the clothes. Could this be some kind of mineral in my water because we have well water? I have no clue what it could be. My boyfriend thought maybe there could be iron in the water that's doing it, but I have absolutely no idea. Any thoughts? Because we'd like to at least try to avoid this from happening with any new clothing even if we can't fix the clothes that are already stained with who knows what. Thanks. :)

Random orange color stains on clothing after laundry..?

I've ruined plenty of long sleeved shirts and towels because of this! I use Tide all purpose laundry detergent. I have a brand new washer/dryer. The water filter is clean (all ready checked)

Some times in random loads I get this weird orange colored stain on some of my cloths that I can get off. I use Cold/Warm water. and dry in low heat and then air dry..

some factors that I think maybe causing it?

-maybe sunblock, but I get this stain even if I dont use sun block
-ache medicine?
-maybe I should wash in cold/cold water?
-fill up washer with water and detergent?

I dont want to risk more shirts getting permanently damaged, please help!

Why does my clothing come out stained after being washed and dried? Dark spots will occasionally appear on clothing that were not there when put in. Both the machine and dryer look perfectly clean yet dark oily spots seem to happen from laundering.

I had this happen when we owned a front loader and the oils from fabric softener and previous laundry would cling to the inside of the drum. Running a washing machine cleaner didn’t seem to help. I stopped using liquid fabric softeners and used white vinegar instead. Finally, we sold it on Craigslist and bought a new upright agitator machine. I set the amount of water as I think not enough water in the cycle is part of the problem. Even now, I still have some issues but I use Spray n Wash and Oil Eater and that seems to help.

Why do my clothes get pink stains in the washer?

Most of my clothes, especially whites, get pink stains everytime after a wash. It has ruined many of my husband's T-shirts and mine as well and I almost resorted to throwing them out. We moved into the apartment 6 months ago and the washer-dryer is there already. Even my coloured clothes have problems. My husband thinks it's my washing technique that caused this problem, but I never had this problem when I used an older model before moving to this new place. Can someone please tell me what is wrong? We are contemplating to get a new washer.

What is causing orange stains on dark clothing after washing?

I have been finding ugly orange stains on some of my clothing over the past six months to a year after washing them (pictures below). It happens to random clothes - only to dark t-shirts, but not all dark t-shirts (I have one that I wear all the time that has no staining at all). The stains become more discolored and get larger the more I wash the clothing. I recently purchased an expensive concert t-shirt that is black and after the first washing noticed some orange staining on the underarm area (this was where it was most prominent) and at the end of the sleeve.

What could be causing this? I am using 'All' laundry detergent. I don't want to ruin another shirt... especially one i just purchased for a good amount of money...

Anyone have any ideas?

How can I avoid getting brown stains in my underwear?

I’ve come to realise that this is more of a problem as you get older. For some reason your stools become loser and leave more behind which takes a lot of cleaning up, usually not fully. The trick here is to empty your bowels first thing in the morning, have a good wipe with paper towels, and then finish of in the shower by moving the shower head over the affected area and rinsing well first. You can then lather up all over as normal, including down below, and rinse your body a second time. Another thing you can do is to cut down on your sugar intake, and don't eat too much fibre. I hope this helps you find a stain free future!
