Co-signer For International Student Loan I

How can an international undergraduate student get a student loan without a cosigner?

In the U.S., federal student loans do not require cosigners, but private student loans generally do. More than 90% of U.S. undergraduate student borrowers of private student loans involve a cosigner.International students are not eligible for federal student loans, so private student loans are the main option for international undergraduate students to borrow to pay for college. Necessarily, this means having a creditworthy U.S. citizen or permanent resident as a cosigner.Previously, some of the most selective U.S. colleges had deals with specific lenders where the lenders agreed to waive the cosigner requirement. These deals were often contingent on the college listing the lender as a preferred lender for federal student loans. Such deals ended in 2010 when the U.S. government switched the origination of new federal education loans from private lenders to the direct loan program.A list of lenders offering private student loans to international students can be found at the bottom of a page on the PrivateStudentLoans.guru web site.

Global Student Loan Corporation or other international loans?

First of all I wanted to know if anyone has had experience with the Global Student Loan Corporation http://www.globalslc.com/orgMain.asp?sid=&orgID=164 . If not, do you know if this is a legit website. It is widely known that without a cosigner, an international student cannot get a loan. This website offers loan without a cosigner.
If you've had any other experience of getting international loan, with or without cosigner, or any agency you suggest. I dont qualify for FAFSA because I don't hold US or Candada permanent residency or Citizenship.

What are the student loans available for international students without a cosigner in Canada?

International study is for those able to fully fund their education from sources in their home country or for those so brilliant they can get a scholarship. It is not for people who need financing. Not in the USA or Canada.Universities in the US and Canada use international students as what they call a “Cash cow” to charge them the full price to help reduce cost for local students.Similarly you cannot work much in Canada or the US as an international student. Just a little for work experience. Not because you need the money.

Are there student loans for international students in Australia with a cosigner?

Student loans in Australia only apply to domestic students. International students aren’t eligible for them no matter who’s willing to “co-sign”.A person willing to guarantee a loan for you may theoretically be able to borrow from a bank (which will obviously mean a very different interest rate and repayment schedule) in order to cover the amount you’d need. That being said, it’s important to remember that an international student will be paying substantially more than a domestic student will be for the same course - we’re quite seriously talking hundreds of thousands of dollars for an international student in tuition fees alone. Such a loan, if your would-be guarantor were to apply for it, would probably need to be secured to a residential property (I’m not at all kidding when I say that the mortgage on my apartment would just about cover an international student studying an engineering degree), which obviously requires a lot of paperwork and carries the risk that the property could be sold to reclaim the debt.No reason that it couldn’t be done, but you’d want the guarantor to be very fond of you to make that kind of investment.

If I can't find a US co-signer for a student loan (I'm from India) can I apply with a Canadian co-signer?

Every bank has its own policies. There are many banks that let you take a loan without a cosigner. You've gotta find that one bank. Usually major banks like Chase, BofA, Wells Fargo don't give loans easily unless you've got good credit score and steady income. But, if you've got SSN, then build up a few months of credit and then try. If you don't, get a letter from ssn office saying that you're not eligible for ssn. And also get proof of income (prev bank statements or attested letters from family saying they will provide for you). Although it's really difficult without SSN.
