Co-worker Got Fired And I Feel Guilty. She Was A Little New Working There For About 2 Months.

2 months into new job, still making little mistakes..?

Well, you're dealing with a couple of different issues here - a computer system that seems to be less than perfect and a boss who is angry. First I'll talk about the boss. People who are angry are complaining. There are really very few good managers. Most are lousy. You have a lousy one who doesn't know how to manage people. The issue is that the computer system is not perfect and you get blamed when the computer messes up. You feel powerless, the IT department didn't do a very good job and you have a boss that just yells at you instead of working with the IT department to fix the problem in the long run. Realize that you are in the presence of a career goldmine. Your boss will probably not leave for a better job because she incompetent where she is. But realize that you could do a much better job than she does. Find out what kind of education she has. Go back to school, get the degree you need to become her boss, fire her and also learn programming, at least enough to tell the IT department what they need to fix and to work with them on a plan to fix what is wrong. In business, don't take things personally, even if it is personal. She may be being mean to you just to be mean. That is her problem. Don't see things as problems, see them as opportunities. There are a hundred companies where you could be her boss with the right credentials and degree. Don't complain about a bad situation, make a plan to get where you want to be in 10 years. You are young. Don't sit still and complain. Keep moving and keep your eye on your plan and getting to where you want to be.

Horrible coworker ..help??

Option 1: Yes, tell your boss. Don't get emotional, just factual; don't EVER say that the coworker hates you or is trying to get you in trouble. Seriously don't literally accuse her of anything. Just explain, and let the coworker's actions speak for themselves. "I'm not trying to get her written up or anything. But my coworker sometimes makes me do her work and she's always talking down to me, and she keeps giving me orders then complaining about how I do my job. I can't help but feel like she's trying to make me look bad, because I literally can't do anything right. I know she's not my manager, but I'm afraid she's going to end up complaining about me to you and I really just want to be able to do my job without having to worry about this." Let the manager handle it from there.

Option 2: Bark back at your coworker yourself. She's just trying to intimidate you because she's older and she's jealous; if you stick up for yourself a couple of times she'll back off on her own. Next time she starts complaining about your work you look her straight in the eyes and say "You have a problem with Every. Move. I. Make. Here. Yet the manager never seems to have any complaints and you can't stop giving me your work to do so BACK OFF. You are NOT my boss and I'm gonna need you to stop acting like you are."

It sounds scary but what can she do? Whine? Complain to the manager, who probably already knows she sucks?

What is the life of an IT employee after being fired from a company?

Well I'm too young and inexperienced to answer this but still I would like to share my experience.I completed my graduation (BE) in 2016 and had no thoughts about building my career. My field of study was computers so I took up Java training in one of the excellent institutes in Bengaluru (India) recommeded by one my friend. My training was going well. It took 5 months for completing whole Java with 2 projects.Meanwhile I was attending drives but was not clearing the interviews so I was quite frustrated.Later after doing some research on career growth as a software developer engineer, I saw there would be vast growth in Mobile Technology so I developed interest in building apps.I took Android development course in the same institute, a month later after completion of Java, concentrated more on Android learning, the components, procedures, designs etc., Built a small app which boosted my confidence level.Luckily I cleared my 1st interview on Android developer position in a start-up company and got the job there.I joined the company in July 2017, I started working on a project directly, everything was going good for 2 months. We were 9 members in our team or whole company I can say! In different fields like Front end, Php developer, Java, Android(Me) and iOS platform. From second month we didn't get our salary for 4 months. Company people were giving reasons like they are out of money, searching for investors and other shitty reasons, we trusted them as they were giving dates for paying all our dues. Here came this day, November 15th 2017, they had told to pay on this day all our previous dues.He is not manager but a co-founder called us and said we are going to shut the company bcoz of lack of fund. You people have to leave now, we'll call you back when we get enough money and started saying all philosophy about career and all, we were feeling mixed emotions while listening to him.He asked us to officially give the resignation letter.P.S out of 9 I'm the only person live with my parents in the city, others are from different places living from their earnings. And November 15th was my birthday, returned home with no money and job. (One of worst b'day gift)It was birthday to one of the co-founder as well and he didn't come on that day to the office. My concern is about all my colleagues coz without money how will they survive in this city, paying rent, travelling cost etc.,

Phlebotomist fired- should I feel bad?

There is a reason for the phrase "no good deed goes unpunished."

It sounds to me like you did what you felt you were morally and ethically obligated to do. Unfortunately, that act did have consequences - but the truth is that people were not fired and practices weren't changed because you reported them. Instead, people were fired for not doing their jobs right and practices were changed because they were unsafe. You just happened to be the person who had the courage to report them. It is better that you did report them than wait for somebody's health or test results to become compromised.

If I were you, I wouldn't advertise what I did for fear of the backlash from my co-workers. But I also suggest that you have nothing to feel guilty about if you truly did what you believe was right. It is natural to empathize with the people who are suffering the consequences - but they ultimately made the decisions that led to situation and those decisions are something that you have no responsibilty for.

In time, people will become accustomed to the changes and the people who lost their jobs will move on. Also, the patients in question will be healthier and safer because of what was done.
