Color Contacts Question

Which color contacts? Freshlook Contacts question!?

either color would work.
Your eyes are really pretty.
and that is saying a lot coming from me, because I usually don't like brown eyes.
Also, if you go to their website, you can upload a pic of yourself and "try out" the different contacts.
There is also a thing on there for trying them for free. You just have to fill out a survey or something

Question about colored vs clear contacts?

The difference between clear contacts and colored contacts lies in the material they are made of. In order to place the color in the lens, they have to make it in a material that will take and hold the color. That type of material is less breathable, and therefore requires to be removed more frequently. Anyhow, I recommend that lenses be removed every day, to protect the overall health of the eye.

Cosplay colored contacts questions?

Hey! So people who cosplay and wear colored contacts or anyone in general PLEASE help!
So I have a few questions.
I've been cosplaying for a while, and I want to start buying some contacts since I have brown eyes and one of the characters I cosplay have red!
So question 1:
I was looking at these contacts http://www.uniqso.com/big-eyes-circle-lenses/red-circle-lenses/Barbie-forest-red
And the options are only 0.00 for the power.
Then there's these ones:
http://www.uniqso.com/big-eyes-circle-lenses/red-circle-lenses/geo-color-nine-dark-red
That have a bunch of different numbers for the power. What are the differences? I know for the second one I will need my eyes checked, but why don't I need them checked for the first pair?
And question number 2:
How much would it cost to get my eyes checked at the doctor? There's some blue ones I absolutely love but they have all those numbers...
So if I go to walmart just to CHECK my eyes, how much would it cost? I don't wear contacts or glasses so just to check would it be free?
OH and also about the first link what does 0.00 mean? Is it big, small or what...
Thanks to anyone who helps! And sorry if it was sort of complicated...

Colored Contacts - Diameter & BC Question?

heya :) So about 3 months ago I ditched my glasses and got contacts. I went to my eye doctor and they did all those tests and I got prescribed with a DIA 14 and a BC 8.4 . Since I'm on my last pair of contacts, I'm ordering new ones but I really wanted to try colored contacts. At my eye doctor, the only contacts they prescribed were acuvue so I looked at their colors. I want grey ones but as when I looked at acuvue's grey I didn't really like it. So I looked at Expression's grey and I REALLY liked that one. The only thing is they only come in one size and it's BC 8.7 and DIA14.4 . But even acuvue doesn't have them in my size. So should is getting a different size like dangerous or something? I don't really want to go back to the eye doctor because like I said, they only have acuvue there.. Would anything happen if I got the Expression contacts with their diameter and BC?

Questions about Freshlook color contacts?

Freshlook contact lenses are one of the few disposable colored contact lenses. They have an oxygen permeability of approximately 25 on a scale of 0 to 200 (dk/t). The contact lens only comes in one fitting perimeter (medium/14.5). This means they either fit or they don't. The color rarely centers perfectly and people often see the color out of the sides of their eyes. This is true with most colored contact lenses.

Rarely do doctors use this contact lens unless the person wants colored lenses. Newer high-oxygen materials do not allow for tint patterns. Also, this contact lens tends to be a poor fitting lens compared to new generation lenses. If you are not using it for color, you should not use this brand.

The Acuvue Oasys lens on the other hand has an oxygen permeability of about 150 (6 times higher) and has a much more refined edge design. Although new and inexperienced wearers may get by with this lens for a couple years, most people will be happier contact lens wearers in future years when they invest in higher quality lenses.

Cosplay Question: Colored Contacts (Please Read)?

Contacts dont hurt at all, just amke surethey are clean before you put them in your eye. Other wise it wont make your cosplay look bad if you go with your natural eye color. Its all in the matter of your opinion. If you feel like its going to look bad without contacts then just get contacts but if your too scared thn its ok natural eye color is fine either way.

Do colored contacts faded?

I wear Ciba Soft Colors, and have been using them for over 15 years. I have not noticed my lenses fading. I was told years ago, that saline solution that is not marked "preservative-free" can cause lenses to yellow. Maybe that is the change in color you are noticing. Here is what the experts say:

"Will the Color of Tinted Contact Lenses Fade?

Typically, yes. It must be noted, however, that all colors "weather" or fade over time. For instance, the drapes over your windows at home are not as bright as the day you first purchased them. Over time light has faded the color. This same phenomenon occurs with tinted contact lenses. The good news is that, most likely, you will have replaced your lenses long before lens fading becomes noticeable."

How do you choose color eye contacts without a prescription?

You shouldn't and you don't.I just read about a case of a lady who bought cosmetic lenses from the flea market in USA.The lenses was if a type I know well, so they are not the problem, it buying from a flea market means you have no idea if the truly fit or even how to do compliance and handle them.In the case I read, the lady ended up being clinically blind and wanted to sue someone.Who should she sue though ? The guy at the flea market is probably long gone and the manufacturer was not the one selling her the lenses in a wrong way.Go to and authorized place and have it done properly to ensure comfort and health for your eyes.

Have you ever put color contact lenses?

I am still trying to figure out why i got an answer request to this question?!?!Is it a hint that my eyes are not pretty enough, so i should start wearing colored lenses?Or…My eye color is so beautiful and unique that it is rare to have it naturally?!Well, i take the 2nd one and express my heartfelt gratitude for the lovely compliment which i usually get for my hair!To answer your question, i do not wear contact lenses at all.The power of my specs is too high and changes frequently so the doctor has recommended against the use of lenses. If someday i can wear contact lenses, i would love to try light green or light blue…. Someday!
