Great Horror-Comedy movies to watch for Halloween?
1s t off, a big thanks to all who were so kind as to reply to my 2 previous Halloween Horror movie-related questions regarding great Haunted House & Isolated/Middle of Nowhere-type Horror movies to binge watch on Halloween night. Now I need some recommendations for Horror Comedy flicks to check out like Beetlejuice & Vampire in Brooklyn for example. Anything Horror-inspired that is also really funny. My only exception is Spoofs, I'm not a big fan of spoof films UNLESS we're talking about the work of the legendary Mel Brooks or the awesome Waynes Family but other than those 2, no spoof films please. Always appreciate any helpful tips, ideas & recommendations you good folks can give me. Peace & Respect :)
Is the movie "A Haunted House" scary?
The movie "A Haunted House" is a comedy film. It's a film meant to make fun of other horror films like "Paranormal Activity" and "Insidious". There are several scenes in the movie where it's to get a laugh out of you, mainly involving the ghost of the movie doing something to/with one or more of the characters.However, for some the movie might be scary. The movie has some occasional jump-scare scenes that will surprise you and some people might misinterpret that as horror.I personally don't find it scary but other people with a very low tolerance for horror might think differently. You could look up its trailers and watch those before you make your decision to watch the movie.

How about a horror comedy...no not scary movie or haunted house (though both are on). A funny horror movie on it is "Tucker and Dale vs Evil". Its about 2 redneck brothers who are staying in a cabin in the woods. A group of college students stupidly assume they are killers because of accidents near them. All while trying to kill them, the students accidently kill themselves in funny ways and the others think the brothers kill them

The plot is about a clumsy guy who lives with his grumpy old mother. When he falls in love with a pretty shop assistant his mother tries at all cost to make his date difficult. Things get bad when the mother is bitten by a devil monkey at the local zoo and she slowly turns into a decrepit zombie.The movie was quite hilarious and gory, but it tends to make you laugh a lot rather than feeling disgusted.If you prefer something more serious, I’d recommend a giallo. In Italy, director Dario Argento was the master of thriller movies back in the 1970s and 1980s. His older movies were full of tension and able to keep you on the chair’s edge ‘till the end.If you like something about witchcraft, then Suspiria is the movie to go:If instead you fancy something about a serial killer and his very dark secret, then Deep Red is a great choice:If you tend more for the supernatural, the movie Phenomena was one of the last good movies by Argento.Finally the last choice.If you want to try something that makes you feel uneasy and let you think a lot at the end of the movie, I found Martyrs by Pascal Laugier to be one of those movies.Some scenes are quite disturbing and hard to watch, so better to keep this movie as a very last option.Try to ask her what kind of horrors she has watched before so you can get an idea on which movie you could pick.
