Computer Messed Up After Running Start Up Repair

Windows 10 keeps restarting my computer?

After changing my Windows 7 to the Windows 10 update my laptop is acting strange. Everything went well but when I try install Skype my laptop blacked out then went to that System Service Exception blue screen then restarted my computer so, I tried to logging back on to see the problem then 5 - 10 minutes later it when back to the blue screen again it keeps doing that every time I log on so I can't uninstall anything without it blacking out. How do I fix it?

My computer is stuck on the screen "Updating your system (10%)". Is there a way to fix it?

Looks like you already have a few good recommendations, I'll add one more. Use the power button on your system to 'force fail' the boot loader. Wait until BIOS startup is complete and as soon as the Windows logo appears press and hold the power button until the system shuts down. As soon as it powers down do it all over again twice more. Modern Windows with UEFI will usually automatically give you the Safe Mode or Recovery Console (depending on version) on the fourth failed boot cycle. I have to say your problem is a bit unique so I would add that, at least once, leave the machine alone for a few hours, or even overnight. It is rare but I have seen an occasional update on a particular system seem to 'hang' for as much as three hours then suddenly rocket through. I suspect it may be due to errors on the permanent storage device resident in the system area because this problem is usually accompanied by a steady but slow series of drive access activity. As you may be aware, disk repairs at that level can be brutally slow but failure to repair can result in a trashed system and lost data.

Can i press cancel on a windows startup repair?

No, you can not cancel a windows startup repair. But if your computer cannot start then only windows automatically starts windows startup repair. So if you need to Start windows normally, then start your computer and click F8 and there you can start through safe mode, last known good configurations and many more. So if windows doesn't start or startup fails to repair your startup problem then you have to re install the OS. Insert the OS disk restart and install.
So common problem with reinstall is that if your Motherboard BIOS is set to read first from hard disk, then on start up your motherboard will read from hard disk and again will start windows startup repair.
So,now you need to restart your computer and press F2 to access your bios settings and change your boot up setting to boot from CD?DVD drive fist.then press Ctrl+alt+ Del to restart and complete installation. If dont knows how to change BIOS settings then don't mess up with it. Otherwise wrong settings may prevent your computer to turn on. In that case see your motherboard manual or go for nearby computer shops.

How do I fix a computer that says “operating system not found” when booting?

Ok, you have already got some answers, so i’ll try to explain how this “boot” works. When you power on the computer BIOS will try to load BootLoader (program responsible for loading OS into RAM) from Harddisk to RAM, This Bootloader will try to load OS depending on its configuration. Now, as you have described, there are two possible reasons for the same:Hardisk fail :(or may some connection to Hardisk is lost:- Hardware issue) (Hardisk-HDD)Simply verify Harddisk is ok and working fine. If you have external hardisk case and know how to open harddisk from computer, Try attaching same to some other computer.Second way you can verify that hardisk is working by using Bootable media. Just insert bootable media (USB or CD/DVD) to Computer and proceed till hard disk selection (* DO NOT INSTALL NEW OS OR FORMAT THE DISK, JUST VERIFY HDD IS AVAILABLE FOR SELECTION WITH ITS PARTITION IS VISIBLE*)If above fails, time to buy new HDD or repair (Usually such scenarios are sorted out by replacing HDD)Bootloader is corrupted:Insert bootable media and select repair option (available for both Linux and Windows)Try to repair Bootloader (if does not work with repair option try other options as per other answers)If second option does not work for you its time for installing new OS, before doing that if you want to take backup of data from OS partition try with LIVE OS Disk (GOOGLE for Live OS disk e.g. Tiny os) , select partition and copy data from OS partition to external drive. IF you wish to format complete disk you can opt for backup of complete disk, its up to you.

1 month Lenovo laptop is stuck in preparing automatic repair. Need help?

I recently got a brand new Lenovo laptop for Christmas and was using it to edit videos, a message popped up saying I should update my bios system for the computer to run more smoothly so of course I did. Ever since then my laptop will not boot up and gets stuck in this preparing automatic repair. I tried trouble shpoting it with a system repair, system image recovery, startup repair, and going back to the previous version. None of this is working and I need help!

"Noob" Computer Virus Question? System Image?

So, my computer is kinda screwed right now, and I'm trying to fix it. So, they only thing I can do is use the command prompt, System Restore, Startup Repair (doesn't work), and Windows Memory Diagnostic. Also, I can go into BIOS setup utility, instant flash, I believe it's called, and boot priority. This is in Windows 7.

So the system restore to an earlier point in time doesn't help. I've tried the three options it has presented me with, and none of them work. I know the virus is from a file I opened.

The startup repair scans and then tells me that it can't fix it, and I should use advanced recovery tools or contact my administrator (It's my computer).

I unfortunately don't have a system image, which is bad in retrospect. I was wondering if there was one I could download from somewhere, or are they all unique to the computer? I have a linux OS disk ready. So, is there a way I can wipe my hard drive from this state and then install a fresh linux OS?

I've already tried setting the boot priorities to the disk and then re-installing it like that, but it doesn't work. Also, I know I've asked multiple questions about this, but they're all different, and I'm slowly making progress from step to step. I'm by no means trying to spam, just solve this problem.

Also, I could care less about what happens to the data on the HD.

Why does my computer screen turn green? How can I fix it?

If it’s hardware, several possibilities spring to mind:loose wire in the VGA cableloose/bent pin in the VGA connectorweak red or blue emitter gun (applicable to Trinitron tubes and the like)loss of the sync signal (on the green-gun wire)I’d start diagnosis by wiggling the cable at various points.

Why is my computer slow (dell E520 )?

The reason the computer gets slow is due to the registry files becoming corrupted, or messed up, in simple terms. These files tell the computer or laptop how to operate the software installed on the system. If any of these files get messed up, the computer is not sure what to do and this will really slow down the computer. The other scenario is where you download other software, screensavers, pictures, videos, or even music, and this will somehow change the settings on a registry file. When this happens, the original program that needs that file now has the wrong instructions in it. So, it will cause the computer to run slow, or in a worse case, crash.
