Computer Science Vs Aerospace Eng In India

Aerospace VS Computer Science?

No career has guaranteed jobs, certainly not computer science. When you listen to the political nonsense in the media, and you hear the campaigns talking about outsourcing. The jobs they are primarily talking about are "computer' jobs.

When my daughter graduated from college in 2009, the largest college graduating was the school of engineering. Every single one of them was a masters in engineering. There wasn't a single student that I would have considered "American". No white kids, no black kids, no hispanic kids. They were all Asian or "Indian", there were over 100 students with the last name Patel. I suspect most of those graduates were on a plane back to India/China shortly after graduating and are now working for Microsoft, Apple, Oracle etc... at a facility in India or China.

Above stated to dramatize the point that Universities are lying to students with regard to their job prospects. One thing to consider is the cost to go a specific college within a University. Is the college of Engineering/Computer Science costlier than Aerospace?

I'd suggest following your passion. A career choice is one of those things best left to your heart vs your head. If you find something you love doing and you can make money at it, you will never work a day in your life.

Which stream is a better option in the future? Aerospace engineering or computer science?

Aerospace engineering is just really specialised mechanical engineering. While its still a Well paying and versatile proffesion, Id Say mechanical engineering in general is in decline in terms of demand because of how electronic our world is becoming.Computer science on the other hand i think has a great future. Not only will You be in high demand with such a degree right now, but u could also get into research for artificial intelligence which will revolutionise the world in the coming decades. There's lots of potential in this fieldBut realistically speaking I'd suggest you pick whatever interests you the most because either is really good and passion is very important

What is the difference between a flight engineer and an aerospace engineer?

A flight engineer runs an aircraft's systems. There's a degree in Flight Engineering? That has been a vocation in the past and the aerospace engineers have mostly automated flight engineers out of existence, at least on civil aircraft. Military aircraft still have flight engineers because they prefer to have someone along who knows how the thing works. Pilots have recently been showing a worrying tendency to be less aware of how their aircraft work than they have in the past.

An Aerospace engineer designs you a new aircraft... or missile, or subsystem, or whatever. Most aerospace engineers are doing something else for a living. Most people doing aerospace engineering jobs studied something else, like computer science or electrical engineering. There are too many pure aerospace engineers and that's not what the job really entails.

Which is better, computer science or aeronautical engineering?

I myself, just got graduated and for me,I think choosing computer science was the best decision. Now to your question about which one is better among Computer Science and aeronautical engineering -it all depends on your point of view.If you see them at the perspective of opportunities nowadays,Computer Science is way better than any other engineering branches.Well let’s talk about something other than high paying sophisticated jobs.If you are seeking the answer that which one will be interesting that again depends on you.If you are very much passionate about Physics,Classical Mechanics, always have been fanatic about machine interiors(hardware part),etc then you can find much interest in aeronautical engineering or mechanical engineering. Whereas,in Computer Science main focus is on solving approaches of different problems,Mathematics and logic.(The heart of every programming languages is the logic to get good efficiency in work or the suitable handling of data),and much more things like privacy, security, graphics, networking, etc. So,it depends on what your point of view is.Opportunities or PassionOkay, talking about opportunities I find the application of Computer Science is vast and can be used throughout industries in the world. So,you have got the statistics and now you should be the one considering everything to decide. All the best………………………..P.S-I haven’t mentioned about major trending parts of Computer Science like-Artificial Intelligence,Internet of Things,Cloud,Big Data, etc.Computer Science-”To make this world a better place!!”

Which engineering has a better scope in India; Aerospace or Computer Science?

Aerospace : Future in Designing, making, and support for aircrafts. Overall scope not that great. Reasons :- DRDO, HAL, BEL, and BHEL only few companies working in this field. Salary ain't that high.Computer Science : Future in development, Q&A, and ofcourse support. Overall scope not that good. Reasons :- Too Crowded already. Salary is high, so is the shitty work-life balance.

Is aeronautical engineering better than computer science engineering?

Its like comparing apple with oranges. Both branches of engineering are completely different from each other and hence candidate liking or special interest towards any of them must be taken into account while choosing. If you like Aeronautical then go for it…. Leave computers…If you like computer then go for it… Leave Aeronautical…BUT…… If you do not have any personal inclination for either Aeronautical or computer and you are neutral for both of them…. Then Choose computers over Aeronautical. Why computers over Aeronautical Aeronautical is a very specific field. Number of companies are also limited which offers a very limited number of jobs per year. Hence getting a job for an Aeronautical engineer is somewhat difficult. While for computers number of companies are huge. Along with established biggies like Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Oracle there are a large numbers of startup which offers job opportunities to computer engineer. So, Prefer Computer over Aeronautical..And if you are from India… then don't give a second thought choose computers.

What could you do with a double major in computer science and physics/aerospace engineering?

It's always best to major in the subject you love the most. For me its BSAE then planetary science or MSAE, but that is me and I'm the type of person who values the knowledge of space like others value or put faith in religion. If you are starting to become more interested in space (and what science major wouldn't be), consider focusing your programming electives towards electronics/robotics programming or similar courses offered at your school. Most defense and hi-tech companies hire more programmers and electrical engineers than any other engineering discipline.

Those two majors have no overlapping courses like other engineering majors. The curriculum for physics and aero even differ greatly. Physics is involved in every aero course, but a physics major generally focuses more on pure physics (quantum mechanics,fields/waves etc.. ), aero is more focus on a broad range of aerodynamics and aerospace structures.

Dual majors are often not as impressive or desired as much as a single graduate degree. Most employers see a masters degree in physics/engineering as a degree that shows the applicant has lab and or research experience. Undergrads fresh out of school often need to be told what to do when they are hired because all they have seen so far is the inside of a classroom.

Over 70% of the people working at Nasa facilities do not even work for Nasa, they are usually employees of companies like United Space Alliance, ATK, Lockeed, or other large defense contractors. As history has show, Nasa funding goes up when republicans are in office, and down while democrats are in office. The Obama administration is no different, funding cuts are already underway.

Engineering students are generally given a mentor/adviser that can help them make these decisions. Ask your advisor what you asked on here, and see what he/she says.

Good luck, Math and Science is the way to go.

Is computer science required for aeronautical engineering?

Yes, absolutely. These days computer science is essential for every branch of engineering. Most of the numerical studies carried out to establish the outcome of engineering problem simulations include programming on Matlab or scilab. I'm sure a basic course on programming is a must for any engineering student.
