Event 41 (63) Kernal Power Critical Error - Spontaneous Shutdown (Information below)?

I bought my first laptop for college last saturday and after using it for a couple days I've encountered a couple blue screens.

All drivers are updated, I have Windows 8.1 on this laptop.

I found the following information in the event viewer:

My computer keeps crashing while playing a specific game. My computer's event viewer says "windows critical error: kernel power event 41: task 63". Is it the game causing this critical error, or is something wrong with my PC?I did a quick search on this particular error, and it usually involves a forced shutdown of the system. Most of the diagnostics online show this also to be an unspecified error, so if you need to find out the specifics, you need to check the error log, just before the one that states the kernel power event. One item that did come up was a system that had been over clocked by about 1/6th. The system was running at 4 gig, and the user continued to have this error whenever his CPU temp reached 80 degrees. On suggestion of the Windows error analyst, he reduced the clock speed to 3.5, which seemed to take care of the issue. So, from without actually having any error output, I can firmly state that overtemp of the CPU might be a factor. However, my first instinct was a conflict between some driver and a resource or memory call by the game. It would be best to know if the error occurred during a specific part of the game (say, when a cut scene starts, or if a particular weapon is used, or even during a certain level), or if it’s random.Another question to ask is if this game is the only one you play at the moment, ignoring things that don’t put a strain on the GPU or particular resources.Unspecified errors don’t really give you much to go on, but you need to check the error log before asking these questions. Providing that as details, along with any other factors (including the game itself, so anyone reporting this issue can be searched for) is essential to diagnosing any problems.

My I plug my TV into my laptop it shuts down, seemingly randomly?

I have checked event viewer and it says kernel-power 41 (63)
I've googled it and there are 2 options that I have found; upgrade the AC/DC adapter I have a 240W one right now, also the largest one that my laptop will support without it shorting everything out. and Option two, upgrading the Video card?

I don't like either of those at all so I am turning to the people of the internet to ask for their thoughts.
I have an Asus N53SN I7-2670QM CPU
Nividia GEForce GT 550M
16G RAM
Windows 10 64bit
I am up to date on ALL drivers as of 12/2/2015.
