Conditioners And Products For Frizzy Curly Hair

Good leave in conditioner (frizzy curly hair)?

I do my best in the shower, etc to avoid frizz, but i'm looking for a good leave in conditioner that won't weigh my hair down but will tame my frizz. My hair is 3a-1b if that helps!

What's the best shampoo and conditioner for frizzy curly hair?

Sulfate free and moisturizing anything. When you get out of the shower rince your hair with cold water (it closes the cuticle). Don't towel dry or brush

Use a creme in your hair that is natural. Other products build up on hair making it more resistant and frizzy, I use shea moisture curl enhancing smoothie or the macademia oil nourishing leave in creme.

Do a coconut oil hair treatment once a week
Melt two tablespoons of coconut oil and rub it all in your hair concentrating on the ends, I stay away from the roots too bc I don't want it to build up on my scalp

I Have Curly, dry and frizzy hair? What are the best ways or products to smoothen them?

Hi,Thanks for the A2A!The key to maintaining Curly hair is moisture. If your hair is well moisturized, it will not be dry and will not frizz much. Our usual routine of using Sulfate containing shampoos and silicone rinse off conditioners strip our hair of moisture and make them drier. running a brush or comb through the hair while it id dry makes it frizz. By tweaking our usual hair care routine a little, we can make our curls look gorgeous. You can learn about them here:Ways to maintain curly hair: Care for Naturally Curly and Wavy Hair in India: How to?  Methods to style curly hair: Techniques to Define Wavy or Curly Hair Products for curly hair:Conditioners: Silicone-free Conditioners in India - Best for Curly/Wavy/Dry/Frizzy hair!Styling Products:Silicone-Free Hair Styling Products in India - Gels & MousseHope it  helps! :)

How do shampoos and conditioners for curly hair work? Are they effective?

UPDATE: While all of the below are true, I have found some new info and have changed my habits to the (seemingly) betterment of my hair. Shampoos are surely damaging in excess. Hair does need to be 'stripped' at times in order to avoid build up and to just generally keep it clean. Too much product build up can weigh the hair down, prevent moisture (water) from reaching the hair and scalp when it's wet, and eventually lead to dry, or greasy, or just generally less healthy hair. Conditioners are a godsend while shampoos are typically damaging. But everyone's curls are different. In general, it's best to avoid silicones, sulfate, parabens, and alcohol in hair products. These ingredients can dry out the hair, strip it of moisture, and result in chemical damages. Anywho conditioners are great because they lock in moisture. Shampoos strip the hair and can ruin curls. 'Co-washing or conditioner cleansing' is typically best for curly hair. Check out Shea Moisture, DevaCurl, Carol's Daughter, and you'll be linked to similar products. Good products for curly hair???

i have curly hair... and when i finally find something that works good, like bio curl on cue from bath and body works they dont have it and dont make it... so ne1 that knows some shampoo and conditioner that makes ur hair curly not frizzy and wavy tell me please i need to know!

What are some of the best hair treatments/products for frizzy curly hair?

Miracle 10 always worked wonderfully for me. I’ve since learned that I’m allergic to fragrances and can’t use it anymore :( What I find works best for my frizzy, curly hair is to only comb it while it has conditioner in it. Leave the conditioner on for a few minutes. Rinse with cold water. The most important bit for me is leave-in conditioner. Miracle 10 has a leave-in conditioner and I’ve also used Alba Organics. The leave-in conditioner will tame frizz which makes for nice curls. Any sort of spray-on leave-in won’t work. You need a cream that you comb through your hair with your hands and cover all of the ends of your hair. Avoid your scalp - you already have skin oils for the hair near your scalp.

What is the best shampoo and conditioner for curly hair?

Curly hair is naturally dry hair so you should choose products that should not make it more dry. Avoid products that contain harsh sulfates. Sulfates strip your hair from its natural oil and strip the moisture and leaves it very dry. Also, do not use products that contain silicone. Silicone coats your hair and make a film over it. Over a period of time these keep building on your hair and create a build up on hair shaft. Because of this build up the moisture do not penetrate the hair which makes hair very dry and life-less. Here is the list of sulfate and silicone free shampoo and conditioner that are available in India. There is link in the post of such products available in US and UK as well. Sulfate free and silicone free hair products in India for curly hair - Right Ringlets. Also avoid oils containing mineral oil as this oil does not provide any nutrition to hair and should be replaced with natural oils like coconut oil, jojoba oil etc. Always use cold pressed oils than refined oils. Cold pressed oils are more packed with goodies while in refined oil most of the good stuff gets destroyed in the heat process.  For more information of curly hair care you can visit my blog Right Ringlets - Your Indian naturally curly & wavy hair resource.

How do i tame my out of control ,frizzy, curly hair? Any suggestions???

i have been a hairstylist for 30 years and one simple trick that i know is, after you have gently removed all of the tangles (while wet) use a fine tooth comb and comb your hair smooth fo a while, if you have a good smoothing serum or light gel, apply it now and then continue to comb smooth. then just let your hair dry without causing any friction. this should help. have you ever noticed how after going to the salon for a haircut, your hair feels so soft and smooth? its not the high priced conditioners, although these can help also, its the intensive combing during the cut that makes the difference. i would love to know if this helped. good luck
