Ps3 can't connect to playstation network please help?
Mine does that sometimes. It usually because something on your end will drop out. To find out what it is exactly do this on your PS3 to find out if its the Playstation Network (PSN) or not: Settings > Network Settings > Internet Connection Test From there it will list off several things it needs for online. If its the network itself, beside the Playstation Network part it will say "Failed" and if it works then it will say "Succeeded." It will also tell you if it can pick up an IP address among some other stuff. Everything except the Playstation Network is part of your connection. So if it says "Failed" anywhere on anything, then that would be the problem. If its the actual PSN, then you should be calling Sony up. If its anything else (oh yeah! Don't worry if it says the UpNp is available or not, that isn't really important) then you should contact your Internet Service Provider (ISP) as the problem is from your end which is on their end. As for the Download/Upload speeds, your download speed is how fast it takes for you to download something onto your system (like a game from the Playstation Store for example). Your upload speed is what you actually use for online gaming and what-not. Also, make sure you have the Media servers Disabled (That should be in the Network Settings somewhere). That can also interfere with things. Oh yeah, and get an ethernet cable if you don't have one. The WiFi isn't nearly as reliable as an ethernet chord because a lot can interfere with WiFi. Ethernet chords provide a direct, faster and more stable connection. It could also just be your router itself. 8/10 it will be. Not all routers are good ones. Some aren't able to communicate or establish connections easily. Go with a type G router. PS3's hate type N routers (which I of course happen to have and its evil so I would know). Type N routers overall are better, but once again, PS3's hate 'em. A lot. Just get a new router if all the other stuff doesn't work and I bet that will change it. A good name brand is Lynksys by the way. They tend to offer really decent routers at an affordable price. Hope that helps.
Do you need a wifi connection to play games on Sony PSP 3000?
I just bought a Sony psp 3000 from target for 99$ when I tried to connect to my wifi network it said "connection error has occurred.the connection to the access point timed out." I don't know what the hells the matter with the damn thing-I kinda feel like I just threw away 100$ if I buy games I can play then without wifi right? And if any1 knows what the hells the matter with the Internet please help:)
PSN message connection with Sony Entertainment Network timed out?
I woke up this morning hoping to play GTA5 , then it keep tells me connection timed out.. I tried to restart the router and PS3 many times and disable media server, nothing worked. I probably think it because of the firewall, but i really need other solutions , internet works on PS3 web browser, but doesnt let me sign into the PSN. PLEASE HELP!!

What Does the Error say? could it be your DNS settings?? Have you tired Google's public DNS Settings Try using a public DNS server. Google's DNS server is at 8.8.8.8. Basically, you go into the PS3 Internet Connection Settings and use the custom settings. Choose automatic for the ethernet operation mode, IP address, MTU. Do not set the DHCP host name. Use the manual DNS server 8.8.8.8. Do not use the proxy server. Turn UPnP on. Afterwards, see if you get a working connection in Internet Connection Test.
Playstation Network connecting problems?
I'm trying to sign into the playstation network and error code keeps popping up.. It's 80130182.. So I go to Network Settings and Then to the Internet Connection Test.. I run that and it says Obtain IP Address: Failed and "The attempt to obtain an IP address timed out." I looked up how to fix it because obviously i'm still getting and internet connection, and It says to reset your router.. Welll I'm sharing internet with my neighbor and just pay him monthly and never answers his phone so i can't have him reset it.. is there anyway I can fix this somehow from my ps3 or my laptop?

What to do to correctly get a internet connection to a PS3?
i have dsl internet, a router, a ps3, a ethernet cable and cant seem to get it online..i followed the instruction manual on hooking everything up...but when i go to network settings it will either say "attempt to obtain a IP adress timed out" and when that part has succeeded it will say internet connection failed...it says DNS error 80720101 or something to that effect...i have no idea what im doing
