Conservatives: What, exactly, is tyrannical about destroying social classes so all people are equal?
If your neighbor is content to live on minimum wage but you wish to raise your standard of living by working harder or smarter, should you be limited by his low aspirations? Forcing everyone to be "equal" even though everyone has different skills, work ethics, intelligence and aspirations is a recipe for mediocrity at best in the short term and for stagnation and collapse in the long term. Would you really want the hart surgeon or airline pilot responsible for the life of a loved one to be paid the same as a toll booth operator? If so why would anyone spend the money and years of their life for the education necessary to become a surgeon for instance? Why would they take on the huge responsibility of a profession where peoples lives were in their hands when they could work fewer hours at McDonald's and receive the same compensation? Equality of outcome goes against human nature and the whole society suffers as a result. Conversely, equality of opertunity allows a society to thrive.
Is Trump just trying to destroy everything that Obama worked or what it seems like he's focused on destroying things than making them better?
Yes, you hit it right on the head. Its Trumps mandate..he cares not if its good, bad or indifferent. If Obama made it happen--Trump wants it undone. Remember, we are talking about a functioning sociopath. He is so jealous of Obama, simply because Obama accomplished "something"(many things) and Trump has accomplished NOTHING. His first 100 days were the worse in the history of our nation. Obama was always popular, but Trumps popularity is below 48% and his TRUST factor according to latest poll is below 32%. Another thing, more people support Obamacare then support Trump. I just watched where they went back to Nixon and Watergate and even Nixon going through ALL of that was NEVER as low as Trump with popularity. Trump hates this, its so important for him to be "well liked" and "popular". More and more of his own party are coming out against him. Whats a loser to do?? He WHINES!!! Its whats he always does, that and blame anyone in spitting distance. We have discovered so much more-- Take a LOYALTY OATH to TRUMP!! Are you serious, this is high treason- we don't do that in this country. Its what Hitler did-*his men had to swear LOYALTY to Hitler, then Germany. Trump wanted the same OATH. I pray he was refused by more then one man. It ONLY takes ONE GOOD MAN to stand up to tyranny--who will be that man? He believes the rules do not apply to him--NO one is above the law, and he works for the American people, he should try and follow his oath of office. Americans need to demand he be forthcoming and to be honest. I realize that's a little Polyanna, I just wish it were that easy.
Did the Obama administration make race relations better or worse?
Barack Obama is the Jackie Robinson of American politics. Let me explain.Back in the day, when America was great and racism was in your face to the point where whites could kill blacks with impunity—they didn’t have to claim the black was running away after committing a crime, just looking at a white girl was enough of a crime to merit lynching—there was a great baseball player in the Negro leagues whose name was Jackie Robinson. Robinson was already 28 when he became a rookie on the Brooklyn Dodgers.Like Barack Obama, Robinson was a great player but even more importantly, he had a mild disposition. His manager warned him that all the white racists in every stadium in the country would harass him, throw things at him, insult him with racist slurs. They used to wait at the exits at the ends of games so they could do that. But his manager told him never to answer back, just smile and pretend nothing was wrong. Robinson did that. He also played for 10 years, was voted mvp one year and competed in 6 world series.After Robinson, black players became normal in Major League baseball. The idea that blacks could not compete with whites vanished completely.When Obama won the presidency, the same scenario began to play out again. People who should have been on his side refused to give him any credit for his excellent performance in office. I guess at first you could claim that Jackie Robinson made racism worse, but eventually it became clear that he made it better.The same is going to happen in America. There will be more black presidents who will be judged on their merits instead of on the color of their skin. In the short term, Obama’s election made racism worse because racists could no longer claim they weren’t biased, so they came out of the closet, so to speak, and let everyone know they were racist.But in the long term, Obama will be viewed as one of our better presidents and the only one so far who had to endure racism just to do the job. Let’s hope the next black president will be treated with more respect by the public and other politicians.
Why do conservatives cling to the outdated American Constitution?
The left sees the Constitution as an evil document that was written by white men for white men and you know what they think of white men. The left sees it as written for people who believe in God above government and the dignity of the common man rather than the collective welfare. The left sees people as having evolved from apes who are now destroying the planet, especially the white man. They see the white men as greedy, bigoted, racist, and ignorant because they believe people should have the freedom to control their own destiny, but the left sees them as keeping the non whites and females poor while they are the wealthy land owners. They see the idea of expecting people to lead responsible, moral lives as returning them to slavery. Freedom to them is "anything goes" and they don't want anyone around making them feel bullied out of their narcissism or expecting them to earn a living. Funny thing is they will have to earn a living anyway but they just won't realize much from their efforts above the bare necessities. This is what happens when the future is devoid of hope and the disenfranchised form a mob. Human dignity becomes an entirely different matter. Conservatives want to retain the dignity of man to choose their own destiny rather than be controlled by the nanny state.
Why do Conservatives hate the US Postal Service so much?
I almost always use USPS when sending packages, because I support my country. I try to avoid using FedEx or UPS whenever possible. "As Truth-Out.org’s Allison Kilkenny recently reported, by passing PAEA, Congressional Republicans mandated that within ten years the United States Postal Service would have to fully fund retirement healthcare benefits for the next 75 years. Or to put it more plainly, the Postal Service had a decade to fully fund the retirement healthcare benefits for future employees that will not even be born until 2057 at the earliest." And before any other uninformed Cons claim that the USPS is a big government program and a waste of taxpayer money - wrong. The USPS is funded by customers paying for postage. Nothing more. Historically, the USPS has been profitable. It hasn't been until the last few years, thanks to Republicans, that it has been in serious financial troubles. Republicans have also attacked Obama's proposals to save the USPS $20 billion. Why do Cons want to see the USPS go down in flames so badly? That is aligned with treason.
