Minecraft world corrupted, How to fix?
Hello, guys. So i have Minecraft world, where me and few friends of mine build things, city, and all the stuff, you know. We've been working on that map since 2011, so it's really important to me. So, today, my sister was playing that map on singleplayer, and as she said (I haven't seen all the process) Everything suddenly started lagging, So she decided, to restart minecraft. When loaded world, lots of chunks have been missing. "Steve" was suspended in one spot. When I tried to fly away, after few seconds I was at the same point again, i couldn't move much away from that point, I was locked in it. But as i was trying to look around, around 80% of chunks was missing. I restarted Minecraft, then computer, nothing helped. Is there anyway to recover world? Extra: I play 1.5.2 for some reasons. Map was edited with MC Edit about 3 weeks ago I have backup, but its nearly 2 and a half moths old, so if it could be useful for restoring newer version on world, i could use backup. Understand, 2.5 moth's is long period of time, and we've been working very much since then.

I have started to make a gold farm didn't get it finnished and I was going and installing mods like Too many items, SPC, stuff like that and now every time I go to the neather I lag like hell around 7 fps normally but in the end and normal its about 60ish (fps that is) PLZ HELP!
Can someone fix my corrupted Minecraft world?
It was a 1.7 seed (turnofthetides) but now we are in 1.8 at this current moment. So when I try to do the whole "Create New World, use same seed" trick, it doesnt work. Ive also tried changing level.dat_old into level.dat... and that hasnt worked either. Please someone help, Ive worked 35+ hours on that map and it means alot to me, and its gone because of my computer overheating.
Why is the world so corrupt?
Honestly why is it? i mean if little kids can sell drugs and women get raped for walking outside at dark, I mean come on but no one does nothing about it sure cops so some but they dont do the stuff that has to be done,what poeple need in this life are someone they can look up too and something to belive in and im not talking about spiderman or batman im talkign about a real hero. But no one has the balls to do something hell i belive my life purpose is to do soemthing and i intend as much as possible and even f i dont succeed a lleast ill know i tried to make the world a better place
Why are none of my worlds on the Minecraft 360 edition loading? I saved one, got out, and saw it in the load menu, but now it and the other two worlds are gone.
Man, it's been a while since I played a 360… I lost several worlds in my time on X360. I would check the hard drive. It's possible (in fact, very likely with that ‘ancient’ version of MC) that the file was corrupted. Hopefully not. Go into settings, access the drive you selected, look under the Minecraft file, and check for the save files. If the save is marked by a yellow ! then you are in trouble. If not, and the files are present, this may be a game bug, or an issue with your drive, try clearing the storage cache. (Just Google clear Xbox 360 system cache, I don't remember how to do it.)If the files are simply missing… I honestly don't know what to tell you. I don't think there's much you can do in such an event.Do you use a removable hard drive or cloud saved games?
How do I fix a Minecraft world that’s in the .minecraft folder but not in the actual game?
The problem is that you have to put it in your saves folder, not in your .minecraft folder.When you are in your .minecraft folder, look for a folder called “saves” (Create one with that exact spelling if it isn’t there yet.)Place your world inside of that map and Minecraft will display your map in the Singleplayer screen and it should work just fine.

Easy enough... Press START Search for the folder "appdata" > Roaming > .minecraft > saves enjoy :D

I feel your belief that technology is corrupting is backwards and obsolete. Welcome to the new world old timer. We no longer live in a world that thinks a two-hole outhouse is the cat’s pajamas.Look around you. EVERY job you see employs multiple types of technology, handheld, autonomous, whatever. Employees use personal and shared devices. THIS IS THE REALITY WE LIVE IN. It’s not going to change. Integration of technology into everything we do is only going to increase. Most of us call this progress.Maybe it would behoove you to take some classes at your local community college about use of smartphone apps or computer based education?? I’m sure there is something out there that applies. Get yourself a good laptop and smartphone and start researching educational games.I can only imagine that your ‘anonymous’ puzzles are getting tossed right into the recycle bin with the rest of the junkmail. Boring.Why don’t you explore some of the more interesting, educational resources kids can use and benefit from and invest your time in.Like -BrainPOP - if you want to purchase something educational for your nephew, this is one good option. I’ve known schools to provide accounts to their students so they can watch the videos.Using Minecraft to teach Math Literacy - itslearning - Global % - Minecraft is a game, but it also gets kids thinking in numbers. They have to gather and craft resources in order to build more and more complex tools.
