Costume Idea With A White A Line Dress

Disney Princess dress-up costume character idea?

You can't be Fiona. She is not Disney. Shrek is a Dreamworks film.

Well, you could be Mulan, like you said. I don't see much issue with that, even though you have brown hair. But if you want something different, you could do:

Silvermist (She's an water fairy from the Tinker Bell films and is meant to be an Asian-like character-- she is played by Asian women at the Disney parks as well.)

Or

Edna Mode (From The Incredibles. Not sure if she would count, since she's Disney/Pixar, but she's short and meant to be an Asian character, according to DisneyWiki.)

Both Silvermist and Edna have black hair, though.

If you want to go as a character who is specifically Asian, use this webpage to find one: http://disney.wikia.com/wiki/Category:As...

If you'd like to go as a non-Asian, brown-haired character:

-Jane Porter (Tarzan) has blue eyes.
-Queen Elinor (Brave) is from a Pixar film, but she's still Disney. Even though she has incredibly long hair, you could style your hair like hers so it would be "Elinor-inspired".
-Aquata (The Little Mermaid; The Little Mermaid III: Ariel's Beginning) Ariel's only brown-haired, brown-eyed sister.
-Drizella Tremaine (Cinderella; Cinderella II: Dreams Come True; Cinderella III: A Twist in Time), one of Cinderella's stepsisters, has brown hair and brown eyes as well.

Ideas for DIY Halloween costume using a simple white dress?

Think Greek! Like Cleopatra! :)
1
Find a sleeveless, ankle-length dress, preferably in white or gold--a nightgown works perfectly--or wrap a white sheet around yourself like a toga. Make a belt out of a sash, spare remnant of fabric or a long piece of rope. Tie around your waist, knotting in the front, and allow one end to hang down almost to the floor.

2
Take a piece of poster board and cut it into a large circle with a hollow center and an opening up the back to use for the necklace. Spray paint it gold and let dry. Use poster paints and a small paintbrush to paint squares representing gemstones on the necklace.

3
Pull out a rectangle of aluminum foil 5 inches wide and 12 inches long. Roll it into a tight tube lengthwise. Wrap the tube around the upper part of the arm to create a bracelet, and maintain the shape while taking it off. Pinch one end of the tube into a flat triangular shape, like a snake's head, to represent Cleopatra's asp.

4
Cut 16 pieces of aluminum foil 1 inch wide by 3 inches long. Cut another strip of foil 2 inches wide and long enough to circle your head. Paint all of the aluminum foil pieces, including the snake bracelet from Step 4, with gold spray paint. Let dry.

5
Buy a straight black wig, preferably shoulder length. Braid small sections of the hair framing the face, four on each side. Wrap eight small pieces of aluminum foil around the ends of each braid, and wrap eight more pieces about halfway up each braid. Wrap the long piece of aluminum foil around the crown of your head.

6
Apply heavy makeup. Pay special attention to the eye makeup, including black liquid eyeliner all around the eyes and extending to a point about half an inch beyond the outside of the eyes, resembling cats' eyes. Look at pictures of Cleopatra on the Internet to use for inspiration.

7
Complete the costume with a pair of strappy gold sandals or heels.

Costume idea with a white a line dress?

A zombie. Just get makeup work done. Maybe splatter some fake blood on it that wouldn't stain it.

Costume ideas using a blue dress?

That's a cute dress.

Why don't you be something to do with winter like a ... ice princess... You would just need a wand, a tiara and maybe blue tinted make up like you're cold. You could even maybe pull off a sexy Dorothy from Wizard of Oz with a basket and a suffed dog with red pumps and pigtails.

Hope that helps!

Halloween costume ideas based on a dress?

I recently bought a dress that looks very similar to this:

I wanted to make a halloween costume around it but I'm not quite sure what I could do with it. I don't want to be a vampire by the way. Other ideas would be appreciated. Thanks!

I need a Halloween costume idea!?

Since you work in a kitchen, a deviled egg would be cute. Ready-made one at Source. Home-made one follows:
You'll need:
White clothes and t-shirt clothes
Pitchfork
Horns
Yellow and white facepaint
Instructions:
This is such a funny one. Dress all in white, using a white t-shirt and white face paint on your face. Tie the shirt up to expose the belly and paint it yellow. Wear a pair of devil horns and carry a pitchfork around.

Pillsbury Dough Boy/Girl

Mummy
You'll need:
All white shirt and sweat pants
First aide gauze rolls
Face paint
Instructions:
Paint your face totally white and then add some green and black around the eyes. Wrap the gauze around your head and neck, not too tight, until only your face is showing. Add a scar and blood to your face and some blood on the gauze. Randomly add gauze and blood around your body and limbs. You could just baste stitch or safety pin the gauze to your clothes for easy on and off.

HELP WITH IDEAS ON COSTUME ASAP?

--Dress in all black w/ a black mask too, have a fake knife, attach empty cereal boxes to ur outfit, go as a "Cereal Killer" (saw someone do this and won most creative costume)

--Myspace or Facebook Page: Get cardboard, draw/write on it like you see a myspace, cut a hole where ur "profile pic" would normally go and stick ur head through that hole

--Tampon: Dress in all white, write tampon brand on ur shirt, tie a string around ur head and let the rest of it dangle down

--TV: Get a cardboard box, cut a hole at the top to put ur head through and one hole on each side to stick ur arms through, put antennas on ur head, print something off the itnernet to make it look like a TV show is on the front of the tV

--Chia Pet: Wrap yourself in duct tape so the sticky part is facing out, then roll around on the lawn.

--Laura Craft from Tomb Raider

--Castaway: Take an old pair of khaki pants and tear off the legs to create shorts. Wear a dirty white T-shirt, beard and long hair. Carry a volleyball with red handprint and face.

The costume style is loosely inspired by the Renaissance. A good dress brand to look at it Nataya (women, not kids.)  For something more thrifty you can take any white romantic looking dress and dye it pink. If you want the front lacing pick up some grommets and laces, cut the dress bodice down the front and add the grommets. This technique can work for kids or adults.

It's Halloween. I have no costume. I need a quick idea. Any suggestion??

Here are some cute ideas that I gave the last person who asked this question:

Pirate: pirate costums seem complicated but it's all about layering. start with a pair of jeans and a tank top (very tight). Next put on a short skirt over the jeans, and a deep necked tee shirt over the tank top. Put on a bandana, and wrap an old hoodie around your waist. if you have a thin tattered peice of linin, turn it into a shaw. Make a long golden necklace your belt, use tons of jewerly, and alot of mascara.

Anime Girl: Knee socks, tight tankie, short skirt, hairspray, and mascara is all you'll need. Also some clogs or something very innocent for the shoes. With the hairspray, tease up your hair real girly. Apply three heavy coats of mascara, tops and bottems. make sure your eyes stick out like a sore thumb. Most importantly, look very very animated. After all, you are simply anime yourself.
For a visual, look up some anime on yahoo or google. You could be struck with an idea.

Cute as a button: take that box of buttons that (if your a sower) you defidently have lying around somewhere, and put the buttons all over a plain white shirt and thrift shop jeans. Possibly get earring hooks at a craft store (if possible) and turn your buttons into earrings. Basicly, just glueing makes this costume... Well, cute as a button!

Baby: pajamas, slippers, and pigtails. Innocense in your eyes, and your already a baby.

Scard: Another costume pun. It's a simple idea, and you can do it any old way, but heres my modest suggestion:
Directions from the toes up are simple. Start with white tights, then move on to white clogs or any white shoe in the house. Next, a white skirt, and a white long sleeve shirt. Then, get a pair of white glasses and pop one of the lenses out (if possible) and hairspray your hair straight up. use powder foundation to de-color your lips. Use get lipstick and trace a line down from your mouth.
Also, if you do do this, I suggest you go as "petrified", not "scard" ;p

Trick or treat bag: where all the same color (that include a hat, shoes and makeup) and put a bag around your neck.
It's defidently the worst of my costume ideas, but you'll surley be able to spark something a little more creative then what I provided.

Thanks so much for taking the time to read my suggestions, have a nice halloween!

Here’s an idea from an old tv show: The Beverly Hillbillies, just search thrift stores.Other large cast tv shows like Gilligan’s Island, The Adams Family, The Partridge Family. For Survivor, dress minimally and smear your bodies with brown make-up to look like you’ve been roughing it on a dessert island.Pirates are always fun, and you can find everything you need at Goodwill.A choir - robes, that’s all you need.Jedi - be creative, each of you create your own look, and tie it together with light sabers. If the group is all female: the Greek muses: large swaths of material [different colors] wrapped toga style and finished off with braided, sequined cord — found in any fabric store.Marvel’s Agents of Shield - have everyone dress in black and leather. You can find the AoS patch on eBay or other on-line outlets.Have fun!
