Could A Female Share Her Thoughts For This Part Of My Book When A Girl Sees An Old Friend Years

How does it feel to meet your childhood friend after many years?

Ah! Those feelings. It felt like I am reliving my kindergarten days, I got every memory he talked about, recapitulated every incident he described and that was a form of happiness I never experienced since past few years.So, I met a childhood friend of mine, Palak (he is a boy :p) after 15 long years, we were together till class 1. And it was not just a normal meeting, the entire series of talks and a very special place we visited together made the entire day very memorable.As I saw him for the very first time, my first words were, “Feels like I am meeting to a new face, a new person with just few strings of memory attached.”Oh man, that feeling of seeing him again and talking about our old classmates, teachers and school developed an urge to just get them all there and have our lunch the way we used to. I couldn’t resist and asked him,“Chal school chalte hai?” (Shall we visit our school?)Which was 30 kilometers away and in a village. Yes, we both used to live in villages and study in a local convent there. And without a single thought he said,“Chal” (Let’s go.)And then followed a road trip with him, to the old school. It was in the same state as when we left it (only the walls were plastered and painted). Felt like the classroom ,the benches, the entire area was actually welcoming us bac. Memories were expressing themselves in form of tears.(This is my school building)(And yes, it’s still the same)(This tree was our peeing spot :p)(And here is Palak, the class in background was our classroom)The entire experience was extraordinary, and we both together then decided to find out other friends who were with us.Thankyou for reading.Cheers!

Any girls who have all brothers, no sisters, your thoughts please?

I was just wondering if I can get some of your viewpoints if you are in this situation, or know someone who is. I have 3 sons, and one daughter who is the baby of the family. Their ages are 7, 3, 22 months and 11 months. On the one hand she's got it made right ? There will always be boys in our house, she'll probably have crushes on all her brother's friends. Since she's the baby i'm sure she'll be protected and sometimes smothered by them, never allowed to bring a boyfriend home, lol. And she'll probably have them wrapped around her little finger, driving her to the mall and giving her money.

But seriously I am wondering if she'll be unhappy. If she'll always long for a sister, and be lonely because she'll feel they have each other and she doesn't have a sister to share things with. I don't know b/c I have 2 sisters and no brothers, but I know when I was younger I longed for the older brother. if any of you are in a family like this, i'd like to know your opinion. Thanks

Is it alright for my little brother(7 years old) to see me naked?

And also my mother can't work she has a hernia and she can't get it fixed because she can't get insurance because we can't afford it. My dad he says he goes to work but I know that he says that hes at work but hes really at the some doctor getting meds for no reason and takes to much of them. And we got evicted in July and we had to share a room since 2009, and if we want anything we would have to wait for tax time or ask around pay day or ask our grandparents. And I told him that he is too old to take showers and I told him that it is inappropriate for him to be touching someone elses privates. But I get it that I am his older brother and that he is curious and I told him what its like being older and the responsibilities of being a teenager and getting ready to drive. And he knows now that its not okay for him to touch other boys privates unless its his sons when their babies or they have a problem with their hands. And I like to be open with people because I am

Do some feminists think they can shame men into finding older women attractive?

I don't think anyone is trying to shame men into liking older women...but I think there are many who acknowledge that men who consistently try to date women considerably younger than themselves ought to be ashamed of themselves. I hate to be close-minded, but that's just gross.

Some old guy is just being pathetic if he continually ignores women in his own age group in favor of younger women. If he doesn't find women his own age attractive, he needs to remember that HE'S OLD TOO!! Old men aren't exactly all that appealing either.

Also, young women who date old men should be recognized for what they (all too often) are...money hungry. They're looking for some old dude to spend his money on them.

Basically, everyone should stick to approximately their own age group.

EDIT:

@celtish:

A cougar is an older woman who often dates younger men.

@Gnu:

To be honest, the main people that I have a problem with are the older men who immediately write off women of their own age group as being "ghastly"...if those women are ghastly, so are you, buddy!

If two people from very different age groups connect with one another on a level besides the physical, and it's safe to assume those two individuals would still date even if they were close together in age, then I suppose I have no problem with that.

It just really bothers me that old women are shoved off to the side in the realm of dating and sexuality. Old women are sexual beings just as much as old men are, and they ought to find satisfaction in one another, instead of the old men going after the young pretties and leaving the older women out in the cold.

EDIT:

@Lioness:

I'm 21, so I have absolutely no problem with men of my own age group dating younger than me. That would be statutory rape.

All the same, I can recognize that there is a hypocrisy in old men flatly refusing to date women their own age. If you will read all of what I have wrote (more specifically, my "@Gnu" section) you will see that *to some extent* I agree with you.

|B&A| Is it a bad thing to write characters older than yourself?

Of course not.

These days, teenagers and young adults are about on the same level. For example: You see thirteen year old girls and boys lip locking and fooling around like adults. I have counted seven girls in my school who are pregnant and most are freshmen.

The vulgar reality of adults have already reached teenagers and it's already sinking to the newer generation of children.

Besides that, some teenagers who are on adult levels(as in- intelligence), are still in the biased feud between more experienced writers to stick with what they know. Why should we wait another fifteen years to write about a thirty year old woman when we have the wit to do it now?

All you need to know when writing about older(even younger) characters is their state of mind.
Can you expect to see an eighty year old man, born in 1960, to say, "Yo, homie! Let's go break it down for the newbies! They up in my grill!"

I didn't think so. This is the over-exaggerated conclusion the experienced writers are driven towards.

I have to admit, I have seen my fair share of aspiring writers make the mistake of creating a modern acting character who is anything but modern in age.

When it comes down to it, don't worry. Prove them wrong!

It makes no sense in waiting for a certain age to write about that age. Now, if you are seven and writing in the place of a twenty year old... there are bound to be some major errors.
Stick with what you know and if you run out of answers, do some research before guessing.

:)
Good luck!

Can you give me suggestions for my mother's 80th birthday party?

My mother's children will be coming right after Christmas for a family reunion and 80th birthday party for her. Although the visitors will be here for several days the party itself will be on one day. That's what we are looking for suggestions about. We are gathering family photos and music we listened to when we were children. Can you help us with suggestions for activities at the party? There will be about 16 adults and four children (five to 13 years) attending this event. Thanks for your suggestions.
