What shade of red hair for my skin? (Pictures linked)?
Okay, I'll try to keep this short. I have fair, cool skin with mild (but persistent) acne. A bit of cover up takes care of that, but it does lead to a bit of redness in my skin thanks to the treatments I use. I have grey/green eyes. So I really want to go red for a few months. A deep, berry red sort color. (Ariana Grande hair ftw!) I was pretty set on it BUT a few people said deep, pink reds are better on people with more tan skin. What do you think would look best? Is bright red hair considered unprofessional?
Look, the red color probably looks awesome and trendy and you probably love it, but it could absolutely interfere with your chances landing a job. If you were interviewing for a fashion editing gig or a hair salon receptionist's job, it wouldn't matter. Your bright red hair would fit right in. However, this sounds like a more traditional office environment, and extreme styles can really send a bad message. I mean, you want to be yourself and be stylish, but there is a "fashion code of professionalism" and you need to follow it. Here's what I'd do-- dye it a normal color until you get a job. If, after a few weeks, you feel comfortable asking your supervisor what the "policy" is on hair color, or you feel like having a conversation about it, go ahead. Maybe he or she will give you the green light for your red hair. I kind of doubt you'll get approval, though, because when you work for an organization, you aren't just representing yourself, you're representing the entire company, too. You also don't want to be treated differently by customers or other staff members because you have a bit of an extreme look (even if it is fun and punky). There are answers on Yahoo that I already see who are saying, "It's fine!! Do what you want!! Keep the red!! Who cares!!" But, they aren't the young professional who needs to start her new career on the right foot. Good luck. :)

How would I turn my dyed red hair back to dark brown?
Red is one of the hardest colors to maintain and also the hardest to get rid of Ash gets rid of red and going with a dark brown you shouldn't run into any problems. Like always, i recommend having your hair done by a licensed professional colorist but if you choose to do it on your own, this is what you'll need…Let me just clarify this for you… you will be able to get rid of the red but eventually some red will still come through so it might take you more than once or twice to get rid of the red. But to start off… mixing these 2 permanent hair color, use 1/2 Natural Dark Brown and 1/2 Dark Ash Brown with a 20 Volume Cream DEVELOPER. Apply root to ends for about 40 minutes. The red should be gone and be sure to use shampoo and conditioner for color treated hair.The reason why I dont recommend using straight ash color is because if it is too much ash, your hair will most likely look drab and unnatural if straight ash isnt needed.Usually a 4 week time frame is the best amount of time to determine whether or not your red hair is going to need another coloring. If you feel too much red has come through the dark brown, Then i would say to go ahead and just straight Dark ash Brown this time. And if you are not looking to cover any grey roots, instead of using a permanent Color this time around, go ahead and use a semi or demi. Apply from root to end, leaving it to process for about 30–40 min. This should do the trick.Good luck

I went to University with a girl who had vibrant scarlet hair. Not even fire-engine red - it was more like those velvet ropes they use to section off areas in opera houses and the like. I too have tried to find it on Google, but couldn’t. The nearest was in a comic: the Sturmvoraus siblings in Girl Genius.Her brother’s hair was even brighter. She explained that “it’s a sex-linked gene. The boys are always brighter. What’s the point of a boy having such gorgeous hair?? One night I’m going to sneak into his room and cut it off to make a wig.”By the way, if anybody has pictures of real people with hair like this, I’d really love to see them.

Yes I like red hair. Now.... are you talking about normal hair color red or a bright bright red? Do you know it is the red hair that keeps them from asking you out? Being a jerk over your hair color is pretty inexcusable.
