im going bowling with my friends on saturday and my crush is going. i really wanna wear a dress because i'm so self conscience when i wear jeans...plus i don't have shorts or Capri's.

I am a teenage girl. What type of dress can I wear in my friend's wedding?

You being a teenager I would recommend you to wear fun styles, or styles that would bring out the teenager in you! Some chic lehenga styles like especially the types worn by Aalia bhat in student of the year would look great on teenagers like you. Attaching a few reference pics of a similar one I've got.Alternatively you can also choose to wear a western style party gown depending upon the type of wedding you are attending. You can check out my blog on party gown styling tips and tricks.

What should I wear to my friend's sweet 16?!?

I'm sure she would be more than happy to give you a general idea of what to wear. It's a very common question to be asked of someone hosting a party, and since she invited you, she clearly likes you to some extent and won't be bothered.

I don't know if I can tell you exactly what to wear, because I don't know the 'theme' or activities happening at the party, and I don't know your personal style.

However, if you don't feel like asking her for a feel or the party, you have a few options. If you're not very girly style-wise, I'd go with a nice, stylish top and some comfortable shorts/pants. Ripped jeans or high waisted shorts are kind of casual, but look nice with the right top. A pretty tank top or blouse will do the trick.

If you're more girly, than maybe try a nice sundress, (assuming it's summer where you live). If it isn't summer, bring along a nice sweater and some leggings. A sundress can be very casual, just make sure it isn't a fancy dress or something a cocktail waitress would wear. With a cute bag and some stylish boots, this is a more dressy outfit for a sweet sixteen.

Personally, I like to wear a cute button of shirt or vest, and some ripped up denim shorts, since I'm not too girly. But a short, frilly white dress or otherwise is pretty too! Remember, it is better to dress too fancy than to dress too casual. At least, in my opinion.

Whatever you decide, nobody really cares too much. Don't feel too self concious. She'll be happy that you showed up, and you'll have a great time regardless of what you're wearing, :)

Should I wear this dress to my friends 18th birthday party?

Should I wear this dress to my friends 18th birthday party?

One of my good friends is having a huge 18th birthday party, and all the girls should wear a red or black dress. (Until the after party. haha. ;D)
I don't want to go buy a new dress, so I was thinking about wearing my homecoming dress from this year. (My boyfriend goes to a different school and I went to his homecoming. So, no one that's going to the party has ever seen my homecoming dress.) But, I have a feeling that I might be too dressed up.

Here's a picture:

I'm also going to wear black flats, a black & red necklace, and a black bracelet.
I'm going to leave my hair natural. I'm not going to fix it all up like I did for homecoming.

so, It's not like I'm going to be all dressed up, but I'm going to be formal about it.

But, my fear is still, even though I'm not all dressed up, am I too dressed up?

What do you think?
Do you have a better idea? Do you think I should change my dress and/or outfit?

Would you wear a tuxedo or party dress to a friend's funeral if that were how they wished to be remembered?

Sure, so long as the request is not unreasonable, I would try to honor my friend’s final wishes. A particular type of apparel doesn’t seem unreasonable to me, so I’d be there is a tux. If they made this particular request, I’m sure it was meaningful to them in some way.People frequently make requests related to their final arrangements. For example, what type of service to have (if any), what music to play, whether donations to a charity should be requested in lieu of flowers. Some people also have very particular preferences on how to be interred, cremated, donated to science, or the like. All too frequently people don’t think to or are afraid (or embarrassed) to communicate these preferences and wishes about their final arrangements to their loved ones. In my experience, those surviving family members or friends that are making the arrangements appreciate when you tell them exactly what you want (or don’t want) so that they don’t have to guess and so that they take comfort in the fact that they’ve carried out your wishes.I’ve you’ve recently lost someone, check out this free step-by-step guide of what to do when a loved one dies.Christopher is the founder of LastLtr.com a first of its kind (patent pending) online service that helps fill the gaps left by traditional estate planning. Why is my guy friend so eager to see me wearing a dress? Do guys like it when a girl wears a dress?

I usually just wear jeans & a loose shirt/tank top. And a couple of weeks ago, I asked my friends if I should wear a casual dress to school one day, and my one of my guy friends said "Yeah! Do it!"
So now every few days, he keeps asking me when I'd wear the dress, and I always tell him when it gets warmer out. He says stuff like "I've never seen you in a dress before." Also, a few days ago it was his birthday, & he expected me to wear the dress lmfao.

Should I wear my Dress White uniform to a friends wedding?

Since I am assuming you are a male, and at any rate will be wearing an armed forces formal uniform, I do not think you will be mistaken for the bride, which is what the not wearing white etiquette is supposed to prevent. If you are still unsure you could always ask the bride or groom just to be sure.

Is this dress appropriate to wear to a friend's Sweet 16 party?

Why not?

You can always be overdressed and look great but you don't want to be under-dressed, so go for it!

Dressing up is fun and it lets you experiment with different looks so that you don't always have to go with the same style.

Go girl!
