You could probably scrape by with the dual core on lower settings but that card just isn't good enough. Get a 6870 for 170 bucks. Excellent card and pretty cheap.

I built it with the intention of playing B3 at high visual quality. My rig: Windows 7 Home Premium asus p8z68-v pro motherboard Intel i5 2500k @3.2GHz 8GB DDR3 Memory Sapphire Radeon HD6970 1TB HDD 640 Watt PSU Cooler Master Elite 480 chassis Asus 24 inch 16x9 1920x1080 LED monitor Razer Death Adder gaming mouse Razer Black Widow mechanical keyboard I bought a few other insignificant goodies, but that is pretty much it. Cost me 1,525. And that was building it myself. How do you think B3 will run - and be honest. Also, how much do you think I would have spent if I would have bought a system similar to this already built, from say...Dell? Thanks.

Yes you can.I run Battlefield using a 4 year old i7, 16 GB RAM, and GTX 660. GTX 660 is the bottleneck here, because of that I need to set almost everything to minimum.But if your question is to run it Ultra, it would run with that configuration. But I strongly suggest you to double RAM.
