What do you think of the name Raven Phoenix for a baby boy? I keep reading that only girls are named Raven.?
Please...I need to know your thoughts on the name Raven for a boy. Last name is Funk. I need something with an 'n' at the end..so that it goes well with our very unique last name. I want something beautiful..and that has to do with nature. I do not care in the least bit about the likeness to River Phoenix. Raven is a much prettier name than River in my opinion. and his last name won't be Phoenix it will be his middle name so it is not much of an issue. The raven is the most beautiful and smartest bird in my opinion. It is my favorite bird and I always thought I'd use it for a girl's name..however a girl is not what I'm getting!! Phoenix is also a bird that represents immortality..so I thought the two worked great together! Please give me your ideas and suggestions!! Thanks!

I personaly love it, its unique, not many girls are called Phoenix and atleast when she's older there wont be another 1-2 Phoenix's in her class! Love all the milldle names too :)

Phoenix or Portland? Which would you choose and why??
My husband and I lived in Mesa, Az. which is a working class suburb outside of phoenix. We had one child at the time and we really loved it. Good schools, yes. But, I would go to Portland. I think it will be nice to have abetter experience of the seasons with children. In AZ you need a car and HAVE to drive everywhere- no good mass transit. In Portland it is much easier to get around. The air is much better in portland (in my opinoin anyway) and there is alot of racism in Arizona. That was our experience. But both good places. Good Luck!

Could Dumbledore's Animagus form be a Phoenix?
There was no proof that Dumbledore was an animagi.Becoming an animagus is a complex and tedious process. It typically needs supervision (as was the case of Minerva) and can go horribly wrong if not done properly. But talented wizards and witches have been known to achieve this feat without supervision (Like James Potter and Sirius Black). An animagi can only take on the form of one specific animal and this animal form is not chosen by the wizard, but rather determined by their personality and inner traits. Most of the times the animagus and patronus are the same (eg: James and Minerva).Keeping all these in mind, let us have a look at Dumbledore and his personality.He likes the use of fire for grand effects. (he set wardrobe of Tom Riddle on fire to prove that he was indeed a wizard as he claim)Dumbledore’s fighting style incorporates fire (eg: Battle in Department of Mysteries).He almost constantly gave off an aura of serenity and composure, rarely displaying intense emotions of anger or fear and instilling strength and warmth in those around him.He was not afraid to die ( "To the well-organised mind, death is but the next great adventure.")His patronus was was a phoenix.So if Dumbledore was to become an animagi, there is a high chance he would have turned into a phoenix (that is if we assume that one’s animagus can be a magical creature).Now if Dumbledore was to die as a phoenix and reborn from the ashes, it is going to be a complex situation as whatever change one physically undergoes during his animagus self, (s)he is known to have retained those when he turns back to his human form. (For eg, Peter Pettigrew lost both weight and hair when he was a rat and that reflected when he was forced into his human form). So, if Dumbledore died as a phoenix and was reborn from the ashes, that could be really disastrous.Will that baby phoenix have the ability to turn back into human form?Will it retain it’s memory and magical abilities of Dumbledore?Since Dumbledore wasn’t afraid to die, his spirit would have passed into the other side. does that mean, the baby phoenix is not really Dumbledore?and if the baby phoenix retained Dumbledore’s magical ability, spirit and animagi power, will it turn back to baby Dumbledore or adult Dumbledore?We will never know answers to these questions (and I am really not sure I want to).

look up local wildlife rehabilitators in your area with a Internet search engine. They will be happy to take care of it. And for the moron who said its just a pigeon well your just a person, a pigeons life means as much (probably more) to it than your pathetic life means to you. Grow up.
Phoenix Force vs. Thanos: Who/what is more powerful?
