Could Revenge Be The Only Thing The Usa Has Learned From 9/11

Did the United States ever attempt revenge for 9/11?

You mean did the U.S. ever attack Saudi Arabia since their Security Service, their version of the CIA, was implicated in the recently released secret 28 pages of the Congressional Investigation of 9/11 and 15 of the 19 hijackers were Saudis? No, not even sanctions were created against the Saudis. No, the United States decided to blow its own foot off instead and attack Iraq and Afghanistan. Iraq had nothing whatsoever to do with 9/11 or any of the people involved and Afghanistan was not really involved either. The involvement of Al Qaeda originated from Sudan. There were 3 hijackers who did train in Afghanistan but actually spent more time in Hamburg Germany where the attack was actually planned. These are the only 3 terrorists who ever met or communicated with Osama bin Laden who played no role at all in the planning in Hamburg. It’s all stupid especially the U.S. spending trillions of dollars on wars about what exactly?

Was 9/11 revenge on the US?

Bin Laden says in this FOX report that the US attacked some towers in Lebanon so then he felt like it was only fair that he attacked American towers and killed people. Is this true? That the US attacked their towers or whatever making the 9/11 attacks revenge?

What are some examples of revenge in history and current events?

The civilian bombing of London in 1940 began after a British bombing mission had struck Berlin - ostensibly by mistake. Hitler ordered London to be targeted in REVENGE - clear and simple. This inadvertently helped Britain since her airfields were given a breather. If the British fighter arm had been further crippled, the British may have lost the Battle of Britain. Civilians suffered, but the air battle would be won.
In current events, some wonder if current President Bush wanted to attack Iraq in revenge for Sadam's threat to kill the president's father, former president Bush. There is no way to prove that this was the prime motivation, and it seems very unlikely. The reasons for the War in Iraq were multi-factorial and supported by most of the U.S. Congress at the time it started in 2003. The fears that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction was only later discovered to be unfounded. Still, there are some who would call the President's push for war in Iraq an act of revenge.

As revenge for 9/11 shouldn't we do the same things to them?

...no. you will never become president.

Was the War against Terror the right thing to do?

When a state which has been a leading cause of terror it is own geographical location and then throughout the world declares are war against terrorism then we need to take a huge step back and examine the facts. What could the US have done?It could have caused the US to examine some of its own actions over the past 2.5 centuries particularly when how it deals with other countries. It could have said that ‘we have experienced a terrible loss of our own, we now understand that some of the pain we have inflicted upon others. We shall work to ensure this never befalls another people again.’What did the US do?It proceeded to invade a feudal, backward, illiterate, peasant population for not handing over people that the US suspected were involved in the 9/11 attacks without first being given evidence. Then it robbed the country of its natural resources. The bombings and invasion was condemned by anti-taliban activists inside of Afghanistan. It then used the attacks to justify the invasion of a country, Iraq, which 15 years earlier it had supported during its worse crimes, lied and fabricated evidence about terrorists links and WMD’s and went against the wishes of many of the countries which assisted it during the invasion of Afghanistan. This was also a country where UN officials resigned over the ‘genocidal’ sanctions Bill Clinton imposed on it which killed several hundred thousand children alone. The regime responsible for producing nearly all the terrorists on 9/11 , Saudi Arabia, is still a US ally.It also began horrific torture of innocent people, violated its own Constitution and eroded the bill of rights.

How long would it take the humanity to forget an event like 9/11?

NeverWhy would any American wish to forget the biggest criminal act ever committed on US soil 14 years ago? One day, 9/11 is going to be included in all the history books so future generations can learn about that day while they attend our schools. And that will be when all families of the victims/survivors are dead. We're still talking about ancient times and discoveries from old time Egypt as well. I don't think anyone has forgotten WW1/2 either. Yes, the survivors are all probably dead by now however that doesn't mean we should forget.  9/11 is much more recent than either of those events, I should also point out. My English teacher discussed 9/11 a while back. Only she got the date mixed up, it was November and it actually happened in September.

What will George W. Bush's lasting legacy as US president be, when he leaves office?

He will forever be remembered as the sitting president during the 9/11 attacks and for the subsequent failure to bring to justice the mastermind of those attacks.

Do you consider any and all forms of revenge immature?

Yes. Let's just say that I was personally planning some revenge on someone that I used to be friends with and I'm glad I didn't because I realized that she wasn't worth it. I'm a strong believer in karma and God sees all. She'll get what she deserves. I just hope I'm there to see it. :D

What page is this quote on in the novel A Long Way Gone?

"I joined the army to avenge the deaths of my family and to survive, but I've come to learn that if I am going to take revenge, in that process I will kill another person whose family will want revenge; then revenge and revenge and revenge will never come to an end..."

Please help me! :)

If you aren't going to give me the page number then please do not answer this.
