Could Somebody Help Me With This Maths/science Question It

Can somebody help me with a math question?

a dinner plate fits snugly in a square box with perimeter 48 inches. what is the circumference of the plate?
four saucers are part of the same set as the dinner plate above. each has a circumference of 15.7 inches. will they fit, side by side in the same square box?if so, how many inches will there be between the saucers for padding? can you show me how i can find the answer and explain to me. thank you.

Could somebody help me with this math question?

A spotlight on the ground shines a beam of light to the top of a tree that is 12 m tall. The beam of light makes an angle of 40° with the ground.

What is the distance from the spotlight to the base of the tree, rounded to the nearest meter?

A) 10 m
B) 14 m
C) 16 m
D) 19 m

PreCalc level math question. Can somebody help me, I’m stuck?

An aquarium wants to install a new fish tank with a parabolic glass dome fitted at its bottom to allow visitors to look at the marine life from below. The glass dome will be 60 feet in diameter and will have a depth of 4 feet. Find the equation of the parabolic cross-section of the dome.

Which Equation?

A) y^2 = 16/30 x

B) y^2 = 4/15 x

C) y^2 = 1/225 x^2

D) y^2 = 15/14 x^2

E) y^2 = 1/15 x^2

Can somebody show me how to do these math questions please?

1. Tens is different from Tenths place.... I think you got those two mixed up.
Tenths place is the decimal place on the right, but tens place is the actual tens place on the left side of the decimal... so the nearest 10 for that number would be 910.

3. On monday and thursday she spent 5.43 TOTAL... which means both days combined = 5.43
then add 3.54 twice to count for tuesday and wednesday and finally add 7.89 for friday to get 20.4.
divide 20.4 by the 5 days that she went to work to get 4.08

4.Hundredths place is the 2nd number after the decimal... so look at the 3rd number after the decimal and because it's a 2 you round down to get 1230.93

5.tenths place is the first number to the right of the decimal. subtract those numbers to get 21.2503, which rounded to the nearest tenth place is 21.3

6. The absolute value of something is how far away it is from 0. -9 is 9 digits away from 0, so its absolute value is 9.

9. C in math=2
B in history=3
A in Botany (science)=4
B in microbiology(science)=3
Since math is counted 3 times, multiply it by 3 to get 6.
Since History is counted twice, multiply it by 2 to get 6.
since science is counted 4 times, multiply botany and microbiology by 4 to get 16 for botany and 12 for microbiology. Add them all together to get 40 total. Add how much we multiplied by: 3 for math, 2 for history, 4 for botany and 4 for microbiology to get 13 total.
Divide 40 by 13 to get 3.08

12. Tenths place is the first number to the right of the decimal, so it is 2.

Can someone help me with this math/chemistry question?

We have two main equations.
1) The one you gave: V = LWH. We are given L = 13.72cm and W=8.63cm, and we are asked to find H.

We are also given the mass of this sheet. Wouldn't it be nice if we could relate mass to volume?

2) m = d*V, or Mass = Density * Volume.
All we need now is the density of aluminum. The link below suggests that aluminum has a density of 2.7g/cm³ , so (substituting this for d and 3.1g for m) we find

3.1g = (2.7g/cm³ ) * V
V = 1.1cm³

We take this back to equation (1) and find:

1.1cm³ = 13.72 cm * 8.63 cm * H
H = .0097 cm, which you might rewrite using, say, micrometers.

As for significant figures: I kept 2 sig figs because that's how many you gave in 3.1 g, the lowest precision in the problem.

If I were really worried about error propagation - disclaimer: I'm not a scientist - I would let each measurement vary to the limits of its own precision, and see how the final answer behaves. For instance, the mass reported as 3.1g could really be anywhere from 3.05 to 3.15g. Rearranging (1) and (2) together, I find:
H = V / (LW) = m / (LWd).

In order to maximize computed H, I would use maximal m and minimal L, W, d. That happens when m = 3.15g, L = 13.715cm, W = 8.625cm, and d = 2.65g/cm³. In this case, I get H = 0.0100487 cm, roughly.

In order to minimize computed H, I would use minimal m and maximal L, W, d. That happens when m = 3.05g, L = 13.725cm, W = 8.635cm, and d = 2.75g/cm³. In this case, I get H = 0.0093582 cm, roughly.

So, the actual thickness is somewhere between these two extremes. 0.0097cm is not too far from the middle of the range.

I am weak in science and maths. What should I take after 10th standard?

Firstly, you need to know that you are weak in science and maths because you have never tried learning it. Just because everyone says that science and maths are difficult subject, you have also started assuming that they are difficult and you won’t be able to do it.Now from the question you have asked I think you can take Biology, Commerce, Arts or Humanities.But if you really want my advice, I think you should stick to science. Please let me explain. You need to realise that maths and science are not alien subjects that only few students in the world are able to understand it. The only difference is maths and science demands time. That’s all. Just because all the students want to run away from studies, when it comes to giving time to maths and science they start giving excuses like the subject is too difficult or I am just weak at this subject. I think everyone should study science and maths till their 12th class because these two subjects force you to devote time to studies, they help in increasing your sitting power, they force you to use your mind, they for you to think critically but the most important reason is that maths and science till 12th is the basic maths and science which you are going to use in your daily life throughout your life. So why not study it and understand it. You need to know science and maths gives you the freedom to choose a different field even after your 12th. Let me give you my example- I did science and maths till 12th. I tell you it was not easy for me. After my 12th I just knew that I didn’t wanted to be an engineer and so I studies business studies. But it was in my college that I realised that maths is even used in commerce or any other field. My knowledge in maths from 11th and 12th actually gave me an upper hand in my business studies course.I am not saying that doing maths and science in your 11th and 12th will be easy. It is going to be a bit difficult and that’s why not everyone is able to do it. But I can promise you that you will have an option to change your field after 12th but the knowledge you will get in your 11th and 12th, will be useful to you throughout your life.Stay Awesome, Stay Amazing
