Here's a rough breakdown of the different disciplines:Prop Styling: This happens at the photoshoot. It involves preparing each product to be photographed. At the most basic level it's about keeping the products clean - free of dust and fingerprints. Different objects have unique types of styling needs. For example, shooting food is very different from shooting jewelry. The job also involves protecting the objects from getting damaged. Even a simple photoshoot can be a rowdy environment with lots of equipment and people moving around - things can get bumped, torn or lost. Keeping all of your projects organized, clean and safe is job #1.   Photography: Needless to say, this is a deep topic. To keep it simple, photographing products on a white surface with a white background is a classic setup that works for almost anything. You can create a seamless background with a large sheet of white posterboard bent into a quarter-pipe shape and taped in place.Lighting: Diffused lighting provides a soft look with pleasing shadows.
