Could This Be Kidney Pain

Kidney pain during sex?

The past week I've been experiencing what I think might be kidney pain during sex - in my back left side. It's not constant, only in certain positions. I do have an IUD, but it doesn't feel like uteral pain, not like cramps.

I don't have pain any other time. I'm not showing signs of a bladder or kidney infection, although I've had one before that didn't hurt until it was so far along that it became unbearable out of the blue.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is it something to be concerned about?

What could cause kidney pain?

Do you drink enough water? Do you over indulge in alcohol? Have you over exerted yourself? Both sides or just one? Have a history of kidney stones?

Can Nyquil cause kidney pain?

I took Nyquil two nights in a row. The first night, I took the exact 2tbsp and last night, I kind of guessed the amount. About an hour or two later, I sat up in bed and noticed a pain in the lower right side of my back. This morning I woke up, and no matter how I sit or move, I feel the same pain in both sides of my lower back. Could this be kidney pain (as it seems most likely) and caused by the Nyquil?

What does kidney pain feel like?

Hmmm doesn't sound like a kidney. Kidney pain is higher up- about the small of your back, and isn't on the far side so much as a few inches in on your back.

It usually starts out as back pain for me, and then radiates as it gets more severe. Usually your pee will be regular, unless you have a very serious infection.

What does kidney pain feel like?

Actually the kidneys are located much higher than people think - about 12 inches above your waist line. It is not likely that your pain, if kidney pain, would occur on both sides at the same time but typically the pain is a little toward the side and front too. You might want to be checked out for kidney stones with a regular x-ray (called a KUB - kidney, ureter, and bladder). If you don't care to have an x-ray, certainly a trip to your regular doctor for a urine analysis would be in order. This could typically be your back too. Try warm tub soaks or applying a heating pad and taking whatever pain medication you can take (Advil or Aleve could work if you are not allergic to them). You might want to pay attention to what causes the pain (what you are doing, drinking, eating, etc.) and what releives the pain (stretching, ice, heat, rest, urinating, having a bowel movement, etc.).

What could cause stomach pain and kidney pain?

IF you’re asking on behalf of yourself or someone you love, sorry! This site is NOT the place to get medical CARE questions answered. While I’m sure a few members may disagree with me, I sincerely doubt that those who are Physicians do. Why?Because none of us strangers on the internet have actually been vetted by Quora as to whether we are competent to be giving you answers in this regard. Then add on top of this a fundamental medical common sense concept: do any of us strangers really KNOW you (or your loved one)? The answer to this last question, unequivocally, is NO!How could we? None of us has taken an interactive clinical history from you nor accessed your pertinent medical records, nor could possibly physically examine you via the internet! That’s why.So my final answer is, assuming that you’re asking on behalf of yourself or someone you love, go see your Physician in person!Good Luck.

Does fasting cause kidney pain?

I am doing the "master clense" and have had only "lemonaid" (maple syrup, lemon juice, and water) for six days. Also, I have done a sea salt water flush each day. Yesterday, my right kidney started to hurt. Now today, my left kidney hurts. I would like to finish the fast (10 days total), but I am concerned that the kidney pain may be related. No sign whatsoever of UTI and no history of kidney pain.
